Norwind Offshore Expands Fleet with Versatile Offshore Wind Support Vessel

Norwind Offshore, an offshore vessel company formed in late 2021 by Norway's Farstad, Volstad, and Kleven to be focused purely on offshore wind, has taken delivery of the first of four Commissioning Service Operation Vessels (CSOVs) built by Vard. The delivery ceremony took place Monday, in Ålesund, on the west coast of Norway. The naming ceremony was attended by representatives of Norwind Offshore, as well as from Vard, various suppliers and business partners.“This is a red-letter day for us,” said Norwind Offshore’s CEO, Svein Leon Aure.

Norwind Offshore Takes Delivery of Norwind Breeze Vessel

Norwind Offshore, a Norwegian offshore wind-focused vessel owner has taken delivery of its first vessel - the Norwind Breeze - from Vard.The delivery took place Monday at 1 p.m. local time from Vard, Brattvåg, in Norway. Before the conversion, the service operation vessel used to be a platform supply vessel, previously known as MMA Responder.The vessel arrived in Norway in November 2021 where the rebuilding and outfitting process started.The vessel has been equipped with, among other, a larger and modernized accommodation (60 pax), and a large battery power system to reduce emissions.

Danish Fund Buys into Norwegian Offshore Wind Support Vessel Firm

Danish investment fund Navigare Capital Partners will become a shareholder in Norwind Offshore, an offshore wind-focused vessel company established in Norway in 2021.Navigare Capital Partners specializes in investments in maritime assets. Norwind Offshore Orders Two More CSOVs from VARD

Norwind Offshore, a recently established offshore wind services firm in Norway, has awarded VARD contracts for the design and construction of two additional Commissioning Service Operations Vessels (CSOVs).Norway's Farstad, Volstad, and Kleven in October 2021 teamed up and formed Norwind Offshore, a company focused purely on offshore wind. Announcing the company launch, they also announced orders with Vard for the delivery of three vessels by 2024, two newbuild CSOV, and one conversion of a platform supplier into a Service Operation Vessel (SOV).

Solstad Offshore Sells Far Swan PSV

Solstad Offshore, a Norwegian offshore vessel owner, said Tuesday it had sold the platform supply vessel Far Swan.The company, which last year said it would trim its fleet to make it more competitive, with a plan to divest 37 vessels "over a period of time," said  it had delivered the Far Swan to the new owner on November 16th, 2021."The sale of the vessel will result in an immaterial accounting effect for Q4 2021," Solstad Offshore said. Solstad Offshore Sells Platform Supplier

Norwegian offshore vessel owner Solstad Offshore is continuing with divestments of non-core vessels and has now sold the Rem Provider platform supply vessel.The vessel, built in 2007, was sold by Solstad Offshore's subsidiary Solstad Rederi AS and the vessel was delivered to the new owner took on Friday. "The sale of the vessel will result in an immaterial accounting effect for Q4 2021," Solstad Offshore said, without sharing further details on the buyer or on the sale value. Norwegian offshore vessel owners DOF and Solstad Offshore on Tuesday each announced construction support vessel sale deals.DOF Subsea said it had agreed to sell the vessel “Geosund” to an international buyer. Norway's Farstad, Volstad, and Kleven have teamed up and formed a new ship-owning company in Norway, called Norwind Offshore, focused purely on offshore wind.For this, Norwind Offshore has already entered into a contract with Vard for the delivery of three vessels by 2024.As part of the order, Vard will design and build two Commissioning Service Operations Vessels (CSOVs) with options for two additional vessels. Solstad Offshore's subsidiary Farstad Supply has sold its platform supply vessel Far Splendour.According to Solstad, the 74 meters-long vessel was delivered to the new owner on Monday, May 10, 2021."The sale of the vessel will result in an immaterial accounting effect for Q2-2021," Solstad Offshore said.The company did not say who the buyer was, nor for what price the vessel was sold. Farstad Supply Sells PSV Far Swift

Norwegian offshore service and supply ship shipping company Solstad Offshore said that its wholly owned subsidiary Farstad Supply AS has sold the platform supply vessel (PSV) Far Swift.Delivery of the 2003-built vessel to the new owner took place October 31st, 2019, said a press note.The sale of the vessels will have a minor positive accounting effect for 4Q 2019, it said.Farstad Supply AS manufactures and supplies offshore vessels. NES to Deliver More 'Concept' Solutions to Esvagt

Norwegian Electric Systems (NES) has signed a contract for the delivery of a further three equipment packages with IAS/PMS and NavCom to Esvagt, a pioneer in offshore wind.This will be vessels number eight, nine and ten delivered to Esvagt, where NES will deliver the same integrated automation system (IAS) and navigation and communication package with Concept Bridge as those delivered for the other windfarm service vessels.The contract is worth $2.35 million.Good conceptThe first equipment package with engineering is scheduled for delivery in March 2020.

Solstad Sells PSV Far Star

Solstad Wins AHTS Charter Deals from Total

Norwegian offshore vessel owner Solstad Offshore said that its wholly owned subsidiary Farstad Marine has sold one of its anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels."Farstad Marine has sold the 16304-hp, 2002-built anchor handling tug supply vessel Far Saltire," said the services provider to petroleum related offshore activities.Delivery of the vessel to the new owner took place yesterday (September 18th, 2019).The sale of the vessels will have an immaterial accounting effect for 3Q 2019, the note added.According to company’s financial reports for 2018 and the two quarters of 2019, the anchor handler was in lay-up.The Far Saltire was built at the Ørskov yard.
