Geelen Nominated as Fugro CFO

Dutch-based geo-data specialist Fugro said its supervisory board has nominated Barbara Geelen for appointment as member of the board of management and chief financial officer. She will succeed Paul Verhagen, who is slated to step down as Fugro CFO at the upcoming general meeting of shareholders.Geelen's nomination as member of the board of management in the role of CFO for a period of four years until the general meeting of shareholders in 2025, will be submitted to shareholders for approval at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders to be convened on May 12.

Harkand Appoints Chief Financial Officer

Harkand, the international subsea inspection, repair, maintenance and light construction group, has appointed Deborah Stevenson as the company’s new chief financial officer. A former CFO of both private equity-backed and FTSE 250 businesses in engineering and asset rich companies, Stevenson has particular experience of helping rapidly expanding businesses as they prepare for the next stage of growth. A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales and an Associate Member of the Chartered Association of Corporate Treasurers, she will be based in Aberdeen with a remit for Harkand’s global operations. Royal Caribbean Promotes Executives

Royal Caribbean Cruises's Brian Rice has been promoted to Vice Chairman and CFO of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. In this expanded role, Rice will continue to oversee the finance function, but also take on responsibility for the company's supply chain department, as well as focusing more on strategic issues. Rice will continue to report directly to Richard D. Fain, Chairman and CEO. Rice has been with Royal Caribbean for over 20 years, most recently as Executive Vice President and CFO. Prior to that, Rice has served in a variety of senior management positions, including Senior Vice President, Revenue Performance, where he was responsible for revenue management, air/sea, groups, international operations, decision support, reservations and customer service.

Thome Offshore Bolsters Top Management

Thome Offshore Management (TOM) and Thome Oil & Gas (TOG), the offshore services arm of Singapore-based Thome Ship Management, has appointed John A. Sydness, as Managing Director for Thome Offshore and Thome Oil & Gas. His appointment is effective immediately. Buoyed by the rising offshore markets, Thome’s Offshore and Energy Division is expanding its management capability to better support its activities and ensure its service standards are maintained and improved. John was previously Managing Director of TOG and prior to that he worked for major international companies in the offshore services and energy industries. He takes over from Claes Eek Thorstensen, who is moving into a group role in TSMI – the holding company of the Thome Group of companies.
