GAC Marine Logistics Shifts Central Office to Singapore

In a move that brings it closer to key Asian markets, ship spares logistics specialist GAC Marine Logistics (GML) has relocated its head office to Singapore. The Asia Pacific region is home to a large number of ship owners and ship management companies who take advantage of the unique GML door-to-deck sourcing and delivery solution. By moving the company's central hub from Dubai in the UAE to Singapore, GML is placing itself at the heart of that growing market as well as in the same time zone.

Quality hat-trick for GAC Marine Logistics

Global ship spares logistics provider GAC Marine Logistics Inc. (GML) has secured ISO certifications in recognition of its Quality Management, Environmental Management and Occupational Health & Safety Systems. The ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 certificates were presented to GML Global Director Jan Kielmann by DNV GL’s Business Assurance Country Manager for the Middle East Alireza Ramin Majd at the company’s head office in Dubai, UAE. Global ship spares logistics specialist GAC Marine Logistics (GML) has opened a new office in Chennai, India to house a dedicated customer service team. The India Customer Service desk is led by Customer Service Manager Rajshree Kurup who has over fifteen years experience in the time-sensitive specialist field of ship spares logistics. The team works closely with other offices in the GML network located in Dubai, Singapore, Hong Kong, Greece, Rotterdam and Sao Paolo to ensure seamless delivery service.

GAC Marine Completes Propeller Installation

Global ship spares logistics specialist GAC Marine Logistics (GML) has successfully completed a complex ships spares movement involving a 7.5-metre diameter, 28-ton propeller from Kobe, Japan, and 9-metre long, 13-ton shaft from Busan, South Korea, for Greece-based ship operator Atlantic Bulk Carriers Management (ABC). GML was entrusted with the entire operation, from receiving the propeller and shaft from the suppliers’ doors at their separate points of origin, through to fitting the shaft to the propeller before placing them in long-term storage at its dedicated warehouse in Singapore.

GAC Opens Ship Agency Offices Australia-wide

GAC Group announced an expansion plan with the opening of 13 ship agency offices in major ports throughout Australia. The locations include Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, Gladstone and Brisbane in Queensland; Sydney (country headquarters), Newcastle and Port Kembla in New South Wales; Melbourne in Victoria; Adelaide in South Australia; and Fremantle, Dampier and Port Hedland in Western Australia. Each office will offer a full range of ship agency and maritime ancillary services. Announcing GAC’s latest move from the Sydney headquarters, Christer Sjödoff, GAC Regional Director, Asia Pacific says that it is the first time in the Group’s 51-year history that it has launched such a large number of offices in a single country within a span of just two months.

GAC Marine Logistics adds Three

The GAC Marine Logistics (GML) team has expanded with three new positions, based in Dubai and Singapore, created to meet the needs of a growing business which has jumped five-fold since operations began in June 2003. Mr Tony Gennadopoulus has been named Regional Sales Manager based in GML’s global headquarters in Dubai. Tony will be responsible for promoting GML, the GAC Group’s unique ship spares delivery solution to ship owners and management companies in the Middle East and Mediterranean areas. Prior to this appointment, Tony has been with GAC for the past nine years as Business Manager, Logistics Services in Sharjah where he succeeded in securing major accounts in the offshore marine sector.
