Texas LNG’s Brownsville Project Progressing
Texas LNG appoints BNP Paribas as financial adviser for Brownsville LNG project, progresses FERC pre-filing process and completes over 60 percent of front end engineering and Design for facility. Texas LNG Brownsville LLC announced that BNP Paribas has been appointed as financial adviser for the Brownsville project. BNP Paribas will assist Texas LNG in the raising of equity and debt financing for the total capital requirements of the Project, including the execution of definitive transaction documents for achieving final investment decision (FID) and project construction.
FERC Drafts EIS on Freeport LNG Project
The staff of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has prepared a draft environmental impact statement (EIS) for the Phase II Modification Project and the Liquefaction Project. The Projects are proposed by Freeport LNG and are located in Brazoria County near the city of Freeport, Texas. The proposed Phase II Modification Project includes: modification to the previously authorized liquefied natural gas (LNG) vessel berthing dock, LNG transfer pipelines, LNG unloading arms, and the access road system at Freeport LNG’s existing Quintana Island terminal.
Linde forms Global Alliance with SBM
Linde has formed a Global Alliance with Single Buoying Mooring Inc. (SBM) to develop and market Floating Production, Storage and Offloading units (FPSO) for the growing Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) industry, based on Linde's proprietary natural gas liquefaction technology. After having finalized a generic concept for a LNG FPSO with a yearly capacity off app.2.5 million metric tons of LNG, global marketing efforts will start as of today.
