Bruun Takes the Helm at KVH Industries

KVH Industries, Inc., announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Brent C. Bruun as President and Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board. The Board also appointed two seasoned industry executives, David Kagan and David Tolley, as directors of KVH.Bruun first joined KVH in 2008 and has served as KVH’s Interim President and Chief Executive Officer since March 2022. He also served as Chief Operating Officer of KVH beginning in 2016, as well as Interim Chief Financial Officer of the Company.

ESPO: One Third of port Professionals are Women

Levenson Appointed Director, Great Lakes

The Board of Directors of Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Corporation the largest provider of dredging services in the United States and a major provider of environmental and remediation services, announced today that Ryan Levenson has been appointed to the Board of Directors, effective December 27, 2016. Mr. Levenson has also been appointed to the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee. Concurrent with the 2017 Annual Meeting of Shareholders, the size of the class of directors of the Board with a term expiring at such meeting shall automatically decrease from three to two members. In addition, subject to certain exceptions, Great Lakes has agreed to include Mr. Levenson on the Company’s slate of nominees for the election of directors at the 2017 Annual Meeting.

Designees to The TechnipFMC Board Announced

Technip S.A. (Euronext: TEC) and FMC Technologies, Inc. Smith Taken on Rolls-Royce Holdings Board

Rolls-Royce Holdings plc today announces the appointment of Sir Kevin Smith CBE as a Non-Executive Director. Sir Kevin will join the Board with effect from 1 November 2015 and will become a member of the Nominations and Governance Committee, the Remuneration Committee and the Science & Technology Committee. Sir Kevin joins from Unitas Capital, a leading Asian private equity firm, where he has been a full-time partner based in Hong Kong since joining the firm in February 2012. Changes on BHP Billiton Board

Rolls-Royce Takes Davies on Board

Rolls-Royce appointed Alan Davies as a Non-Executive Director. He will join the Board with effect from November 1, 2015 and will become a member of the Nominations and Governance Committee, and the Audit Committee. Alan Davies is currently Chief Executive of Rio Tinto's Diamonds and Minerals division. He joined Rio Tinto in 1997 and has held a number of senior positions in Australia, London and the US, predominantly in Rio Tinto's Iron Ore product group where he has served as CFO, Managing Director Global Development and as President International Operations. Alan Davies is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. Ensco Appoints Rowsey as Non Executive Chairman

Ensco plc announced today that Paul Rowsey has been named Non-Executive Chairman of the Board following Dan Rabun’s planned retirement on 18 May 2015 concurrent with the annual general meeting of shareholders. Twin Disc Chairman Michael Batten Passes Away

Twin Disc, Inc. announced the passing of Michael E. Batten, Chairman of Twin Disc, Inc. He died in his sleep on the morning of May 6, 2015 at the age of 75. Batten worked at Twin Disc since June 1, 1970 and was fully devoted to the company and his family. His positive impression on the countless coworkers he worked with during his more than four decades of service at Twin Disc, as well as the greater community of his lifelong home of Racine, Wisconsin, will not be forgotten. Batten will be remembered for his hard work, dedication, intelligence, honesty and fairness. The board of directors met on May 7, 2015 and appointed David B. Rayburn as Chairman.

Reed Nominated to Caterpillar Board

Caterpillar Inc. announced today that the Caterpillar Board of Directors has nominated Debra L. Reed to join the Board, with the election to occur at the June 2015 annual stockholders meeting. Reed, 58, is the Chairman and CEO of Sempra Energy, a San Diego, California-based energy company. She began her Sempra Energy career in 1978 as an engineer and worked her way into leadership positions at Sempra Energy, as well as Southern California Gas Co. and San Diego Gas & Electric, Sempra Energy’s two regulated California utilities. “Energy is core to our business at Caterpillar, so having a Board member who has spent her entire 37-year-career at one company in this industry will greatly benefit our company,” said Caterpillar Chairman and CEO Doug Oberhelman.

Rolls-Royce Rejigs Top Deck

Rolls-Royce announced today that James Guyette, President and Chief Executive Officer of Rolls-Royce North America, has decided to retire after 17 years with the company. He is currently an Executive Director on the Board of Rolls-Royce plc and Chairman of Rolls-Royce North America Holdings Inc. He will step down from the Rolls-Royce plc Board at the Annual General Meeting on 8 May 2015, and from his role at Rolls-Royce North America on 31 May 2015. Ian C. Strachan Elected Transocean Chairman

The Board of Directors of the company elected Ian C. Strachan to serve as Chairman of the Board effective May 18, 2013. Mr. Strachan replaces J. Michael Talbert who was not re-elected at the company's annual general meeting held on May 17, 2013. Mr. Strachan has served as director of the company since December 1999. Most recently, he served as chairman of the Finance Committee of the company as well as serving on the Corporate Governance Committee of the company. Transocean Chairman Announces Retirement Plans

Transocean Ltd. announced that J. Michael Talbert has advised the Board of Directors that, if reelected at the company's upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) on May 17, he will retire from the board no later than the company's 2014 AGM. To facilitate an orderly transition of leadership, should Mr. Talbert be elected by the Board as Chairman following the upcoming AGM, he will step down as Chairman no later than the Board's November 2013 meeting, at which time a new, independent Chairman will be announced. Mr. Talbert, formerly CEO of Transocean from 1994 to 2002, has served on the Board of Directors since 1994. Bourbon Board to Submit Resolutions at Shareholder Meeting

As of the stock market on June 03, 2013, the Bourbon share will be quoted ex-dividend. The dividend will be paid June 06, 2013. The record date entitling shareholders to the dividend is the close of the stock exchange on May 31, 2013. The delegation of authority granted to the Board of Directors to increase the share capital by incorporation of reserves in the form of a bonus share award to shareholders with a ratio of one new share for 10 existing shares. Fractional odd lot shares will not be transferable or negotiable; the corresponding shares will be sold. The Record Date for the shares to be eligible for this assignment is June 4 in the evening. This award will take place as of June 5, 2013, the date on which Bourbon’s share price will be adjusted until July 4, 2013.

Lorentzen Named CMA 2012 Commodore

Øivind Lorentzen, III, CEO of SEACOR Holdings Inc. has been named as the Connecticut Maritime Association (CMA) Commodore for the year 2012. Mr. Lorentzen follows a long succession of influential maritime industry leaders as Commodore. The 2012 Commodore Award will be presented to Mr. Lorentzen on March 21, 2012 at the Gala Dinner marking the conclusion of the annual Connecticut Maritime Association conference and trade exposition, at the Hilton Hotel in Stamford,  Conn. The Award is given each year to a person in the international maritime industry who has contributed to the growth and development of the industry. Lorentzen has served as CEO of SEACOR Holdings Inc. since September 2010.

Bates, Jr. Chairman at Hercules Offshore

Hercules Offshore, Inc. (NASDAQ: HERO) announced that Chairman John T. Reynolds submitted his resignation from the company's board of directors, effective December 31, 2009, to focus on other business interests and his role as co-founder and managing director of Lime Rock Management L.P. Thomas R. Bates, Jr., who has been a director of Hercules Offshore since the company's inception in 2004, will assume the role of Chairman upon Reynolds' departure. Bates served as President of the Discovery Group of Baker Hughes Inc., President and Chief Executive Officer of Weatherford/Enterra, Inc. and as President of Anadrill at Schlumberger Limited, among other positions. Bates received a Bachelor's, Master's and a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan.

FLIR Systems Elects Wood to Board

FLIR Systems, Inc (NASDAQ: FLIR) announced that John W. Wood, Jr. has been elected to the Board of Directors for a term expiring at the Company's 2010 Annual Meeting of Shareholders. MC Shipping Appoints New CEO

MC Shipping announces that with effect from August 1st, Tony Crawford, CEO of V.Ships Financial Services & Projects Division, will take up the position of CEO and President of MC Shipping. On secondment from V.Ships, Tony takes over from Enrico Boggazzi as CEO and Guy Morel as President. Crawford will also replace Tullio Biggi on the Board of Directors of the Company. The new management will implement a business plan which will grow MC Shipping's activity around a number of market opportunities including the LPG sector.
