Aker to Effect Offshore EPCIC Tie-in

The contract involves further modification work on Sleipner A under the Sleipner Modification Portfolio Agreement. In detail, this contract is for engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) to tie the gas production from the Dagny platform into Sleipner A. The Sleipner Modification Portfolio Agreement was awarded to Aker Solutions in August 2010 and the company is currently working on the first call-off project named Gudrun tie-in to Sleipner. The Sleipner area is the second largest gas producer in the North Sea, after the Troll field.

Aker Solutions Contract for Gudrun Tie-In

Statoil has awarded Aker Solutions the Sleipner Modifications Portfolio Agreement and the first project-specific agreements for engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) for the Gudrun tie-in to Sleipner in the North Sea. The order is worth approximately $148.9m and replaces the letter of intent announced July 14. "We are pleased to win the portfolio agreement for modifications in the Sleipner area and we are looking forward to take on the Gudrun tie-in work for Statoil and its partners. This order confirms Aker Solutions' leading position within advanced and complex modifications in the North Sea," said Stian Vemmestad, president for maintenance, modifications and operations in Aker Solutions.

Aker Solutions LOI for Gudrun Tie-in to Sleipner

Aker Solutions has received a Letter of Intent for Sleipner Modifications Portfolio Agreement and the first project specific agreements for engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) for the Gudrun tie-in to Sleipner. This specific order will be worth approximately $144.4m. The contract in question is expected to be formalized within the next few weeks. Further information will be given when final contract is awarded, at which time the contract will be added to the order backlog of the Energy Development & Services (ED&S) business area.
