Stadt Naval inks Deal to Design and Deliver Naval Vessel Powertrain

Stadt Naval, headquartered in Gjerdsvika, Norway, signed a contract to design and supply complete electric propulsion solutions for series of new naval ships for an unnammed NATO country, the biggest  contract in the company's history.Stadt's technology operates in STEALTH mode with guaranteed no  electrical interference and no acoustic switching noise. Høglund Buys Majority Stake in Vindskip

Marine technology provider Høglund Marine Solutions announced it has taken a two-thirds stake in Vindskip AS, a company developing a wind- and liquefied natural gas (LNG)-powered vessel concept.Vindskip (which translates to ‘wind ship’ in English) is a vessel design project for a car/truck carrier that combines wind and gas power to achieve the lowest possible emissions in its market segment.With a majority share in Vindskip AS, Høglund will bring the company’s experience and expertise from providing LNG and automation solutions to the Vindskip project.

STADT AS New Propulsion System

STADT AS has a gained a foothold in both the offshore and fishing fleet with a new diesel electric propulsion system. The company is located in Gjerdsvika at the Northwest coast of Norway, and has patented a new solution based on Sinus-technology. “This is sustainable technology, and we are definitely on track,” says Hallvard Slettevoll, president of STADT AS. For more than seven years the company has worked to develop a diesel-electric propulsion system with the goal of reducing the load on the environment and improving the operating economy of ships.
