Damen Shipyards to Hold Maritime Festival

Dutch shipbuilding and engineering conglomerate Damen Shipyards Group is once again holding its one-day-only annual industry networking event at its headquarters at Gorinchem in the Netherlands.Following three successful editions as the Damen Workboat Show, this year it has been rebranded as the Damen Maritime Festival to better reflect the full Damen product range as well as the day’s lively atmosphere and will take place on Thursday 19 September.As before, the festival will give industry professionals from across Europe and beyond the opportunity to mingle with each other as well as explore in detail Damen’s current products and plans for the future.

Oslo Maritime Week to Launch

Oslo Maritime Week, a new event established by the Norwegian maritime industry for local and international peers, takes place from May 30 – June 1, 2012. Oslo Maritime Week presents finance, law, insurance, design and other maritime services via hot-topic seminars. Social events gather all participants and encourage cross-industry networking as an integral component. Taking place every second year, Oslo Maritime Week will alternate with Nor-Shipping. As a maritime capital, Oslo is a natural location for such an event to take place. Oslo’s integrated role in the complete Norwegian maritime cluster also ensures access to key maritime hubs, such as Bergen and Ålesund. Oslo Maritime Week will help to further strengthen the links between key Norwegian and international maritime players.

Offshore Marine Support Sector Upbeat
