Keppel FELS Delivers Second Jackup Rig to Oro Negro

Keppel FELS delivered a second KFELS B Class jackup rig to offshore Mexican oil field services company, Integradora de Servicios Petroleros Oro Negro. Named Laurus at Keppel FELS today, the rig was delivered eleven days early and with a perfect safety record, Keppel noted. Laurus is the second of two high-specification jackup rigs that Keppel FELS has built for Oro Negro which will be chartered to PEMEX, Mexico's national oil company, for deployment in offshore Mexico. The first rig, Primus, was delivered in December last year. Mr. Wong Kok Seng, Managing Director (Offshore) of Keppel Offshore & Marine and Managing Director of Keppel FELS, said, "This delivery is the eighth by Keppel FELS this year, and in a year where we aim to deliver a record 20 rigs.

Sembcorp Marine's PPL Shipyard secures repeat rig orders from Oro Negro to build two jack-up rigs at US$417-million. Singapore's PPL Shipyard Gets Jack-up Rig Orders

Sembcorp Marine's PPL Shipyard secures rig orders worth US$434-million to build two jack-up rigs for the Mexican market. PPL Shipyard has secured two turnkey contracts with a combined value of US$434 million for the construction of two units of jack-up rigs from Integradora de Servicios Petroleros Oro Negro, S.A.P.I. de C.V. ("Oro Negro").
