GE Marine Solutions Expands Asia Presence

GE’s Marine Solutions has appointed Jason Electronics Pte. Ltd. as its value-added reseller for SeaStream dynamic positioning (DP) systems in the ASEAN region and China. Inmarsat Expands Presence in Singapore

Inmarsat, has opened its new Singapore office, which is the company’s largest facility in Asia Pacific region. Inmarsat’s investment in the 1,700 suareq meter office in Toa Payoh, Central Region Singapore, sees the company’s regional hub providing a new solutions lab, demonstration capabilities, training rooms, a knowledge centre and support center, in addition to enhanced production and storage facilities. Hatteland Display Appoints Singapore Agent

Hatteland Display (HD), the leading technology provider of specialized display and computer products to the international maritime and industrial market, has appointed Jason Electronics Pte. Ltd. (Jason) as its sole agent in Singapore. The Agreement was signed during Nor-Shipping in Oslo and is a strong foundation for future growth, based on easier and faster access for customers in Singapore. First FB150 Installation, Tug Miclyn Enterprise

Inmarsat (LSE: ISAT), provider of global mobile satellite communications services, announced the first installation of the FleetBroadband 150 (FB150) service onboard tug Miclyn Enterprise. The installation of the SAILOR 150 FleetBroadband system was managed by Thrane & Thrane’s Certified Partner, Jason Electronics, at the Jalan Brigjen Katamso shipyard in Batam, Indonesia. Installation aboard Miclyn Enterprise, a multipurpose offshore support vessel owned by Miclyn Express Offshore, was completed in 15 minutes, and the first email sent and telephone call made within the hour. The FleetBroadband service is the first maritime communications solution to provide cost-effective broadband data and voice, simultaneously, through a compact antenna on a global basis.
