Silver Ships promoted Jason Powers to Chief Operating Officer (COO). Previously, Powers held the role of Director of Business Development and has been a valued and dedicated member of the Silver Ships team for more than 25 years.As COO, Powers will direct daily production operations alongside the executive team and report directly to CEO, Steven Clarke. His responsibilities will include organizational leadership, process optimization, cost management, performance management and continuous improvement.

Silver Ships Delivers Survey Vessel to US Army Corps of Engineers

Alabama shipbuilder Silver Ships announced it has delivered a new marine surveying vessel for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Venice Sub Office in Venice, La. The 49-foot Tobin is the latest expansion in Silver Ships’ Endeavor series of workboats and is the largest marine surveying vessel of its series.Custom designed for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to hydrographically map the mouth of the Mississippi River, the mission-specific vessel will allow researchers to accurately and effectively obtain and document data on the rapidly changing waters in the Mississippi River.

New Multi-mission Patrol Boat for Montauk, NY

A new 38-foot multi-mission patrol boat for Montauk, N.Y. will be officially dedicated during a “splash down” ceremony on July 26. Delivered by aluminum boat builder Silver Ships, Inc., the vessel is a multi-agency, multi-mission vessel designed for emergency response and patrol within the Montauk Harbor. The vessel was garnered through the collaborative efforts of the Montauk Fire Department, the East Hampton Town Police Department, East Hampton Town Marine Patrol and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Silver Ships, Inc. has announced the appointment to its Sales Team of Sherry and Malcolm Wisch of Long Island, NY as Regional Sales Managers. In making this announcement, Jason Powers, Silver Ships’ General Manager, said “We are very excited to have Sherry and Malcolm Wisch join our Sales Team. Their vast and lengthy experience in the military, government and commercial boat markets is sure to have a positive impact on our business model for corporate growth and product expansion going forward.” Sherry and Malcolm Wisch will concentrate their sales and marketing efforts in the Northeast and Midwest territories and will have international responsibilities as well. Previously, the Wisches were associated with SeaArk Marine, Inc. Silver Ships, Inc.
