Workboats depend on reliable sources of both. To that end, the basic keys to crew comfort are both manifested in Dometic’s newest equipment offerings. As the New Year kicks off, marine equipment OEM Dometic has unveiled two new, completely upgraded offerings. The Sea Xchange CX Watermaker, a variable capacity system that can produce between 8,000-40,000 gallons per day (GPD) of potable water, is intended for a wide range of commercial applications, including on offshore platforms, floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) facilities, workboats and military vessels. Separately, Dometic has also introduced the Dometic Titan Chiller, a 45-ton unit with revolutionary new titanium coaxial tube condenser.

Workboat operators are taking a second look at Dometic’s SeaXchange Reverse Osmosis Systems as missions expand and demands on these vessels increase. It’s no secret that Dometic Group’s products are sold in almost 100 countries, supported by as many as 6,000 employees. Better known on the water for their penetration of the recreational and yacht markets, Dometic’s attention is now focused on the workboat sector as well. Beyond a complete range of air conditioners, engine room ventilation systems, refrigerators, awnings, cookers, sanitation systems, lighting, mobile power equipment, comfort and safety solutions, the need for a clean and reliable source of water is paramount for today’s offshore fleets. That’s where Dometic’s SeaXchange Reverse Osmosis Systems come in.

Dometic Marine launched the Dometic Sea Xchange Sea Water Reverse Osmosis system following the confirmation of an exclusive worldwide marketing agreement with Spot Zero Reverse Osmosis Inc. of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., USA. Under this agreement, Dometic said it will market and sell Spot Zero watermakers as it expands its presence in the fresh water and sea water reverse osmosis systems marketplace. Using a conventional reverse osmosis process to convert sea water into potable (drinking) water, the Dometic Sea Xchange is suited for a range of commercial and workboat applications.

Dometic Marine, a division of Dometic Group, a global provider of leisure products for the marine, recreational vehicle, commercial and passenger vehicle markets, announced that it has appointed Joe Pinto as National Account Manager - Reverse Osmosis Systems. In his new role, Pinto will lead Dometic’s Aftermarket and OEM sales teams as they expand the company’s presence in the fresh water and sea water reverse osmosis systems marketplace. In January 2014, Dometic Marine formally announced an exclusive worldwide agreement with Spot Zero Reverse Osmosis Inc. of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., to market and sell its Spot Zero Fresh Water Reverse Osmosis systems and its Sea Xchange Sea Water Reverse Osmosis systems.
