Wärtsilä to Assist Transocean with Thruster Maintenance

Wärtsilä and Transocean will optimize the maintenance of all Wärtsilä thrusters installed within the Transocean fleet, while seeking to reduce dry-docking costs by extending the service intervals of the thrusters. The agreement aims to deliver fewer interruptions to operations, which will result in benefits for both parties.The performance-based agreement builds on the Wärtsilä Propulsion Condition Monitoring Service (PCMS), that collects performance data from the thrusters and delivers it to a Wärtsilä Expertise Centre for analysis. Wärtsilä, Ensco Ink Maintenance Deal

Wärtsilä, the leading global supplier of flexible and efficient power plant solutions and services, has signed a maintenance agreement with Ensco, a global provider of offshore drilling services to the petroleum industry. The agreement, signed in September 2015, will create both short- and long-term savings by optimising Ensco's assets and improving predictability through extensive condition monitoring services and parts supply management for Ensco's four drillships equipped with six Wärtsilä 32 engines. In the offshore markets, Wärtsilä's customers are continuously seeking increased reliability, maximum uptime and optimal operational efficiency as well as ensuring safe and sustainable environmental performance in harsh environments.

Wärtsilä Signs Service Agreement With Prestige Cruise Holdings

Wärtsilä has signed a five-year service agreement with U.S.-based Prestige Cruise Holdings Inc. (Prestige), the parent company of Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises. The long-term service agreement covers six vessels, a total of 27 Wärtsilä engines, and has the option to include further vessels in the future. The agreement facilitates the projection of costs associated with the maintenance of Prestige's cruise fleet, while also minimizing the downtime during routine maintenance and overhauls. The agreement provides a broad scope of services, including maintenance planning, spare parts supply, training, technical surveys, condition monitoring, and workshop services.
