Cavotec Wins Port Equipment Orders

Press release- Global engineering group Cavotec has won five separate orders with a combined value of more than $9.6  million for some of its key innovative technologies, including the Group's MoorMasterTM automated mooring system and the new Automatic Plug-in System (APS), highlighting the strength and diversity of Cavotec's portfolio. The largest of these orders is for a number of MoorMasterTM MM400E automated mooring units at the Port of Salalah in Oman, which are to be installed at one of the port's container berths.

Cavotec wins MoorMaster EUR 6.5 mln orders

Global engineering group Cavotec has been awarded three separate orders for its innovative MoorMaster automated mooring technology for applications in Australia, Canada and the United States, with a combined value of approximately EUR 6.5 million. “The MoorMaster technology continues to gain traction and acceptance in the market place. These orders – from new and existing customers – demonstrate the considerable potential of this unique technology in the global maritime sector,” says Ottonel Popesco, Cavotec CEO. In the largest of these projects, Cavotec is to supply six MoorMaster units for the two locks on the US side of the St. Lawrence Seaway. The units are scheduled for delivery for the first lock in July 2016, and the second lock in April the following year.

Cavotec Secures €11.5m in Port Equipment Orders

Cavotec announced it has received orders for its port technologies in Australia, Indonesia, Oman, Portugal and Turkey, and for two major shipping lines, with a combined value of more than EUR 11.5 million. Cavotec will supply eight MoorMaster automated mooring units for installation at a container berth at the Port of Salalah in Oman, where a number of MoorMaster units have been in service for several years. MoorMaster is a vacuum-based automated mooring technology that eliminates the need for conventional mooring lines.

Cavotec Wins Largest MoorMaster Order to Date

Cavotec has been awarded a €10 million order for MoorMaster automated mooring units at a container port to be disclosed later in a joint press release with the customer. It is the largest single order to date for the technology, and further underlines the growing demand for Cavotec's automated mooring systems. Cavotec will design, manufacture and install MoorMaster systems for a port mooring container ships up to 13,000 TEU. Cavotec will also train locally based technicians who will provide technical support for the customer following delivery of the units.

Cavotec secured a significant order for its MoorMaster automated mooring technology at a new bulk handling application in Norway. The project has a substantial financial value & is the largest single MoorMaster order in Europe to date. MoorMaster is a vacuum-based automated mooring technology that eliminates the need for conventional mooring lines. Remote controlled vacuum pads recessed in, or mounted on the quayside or pontoons, moor and release vessels in seconds. A single person operates the system, via a hand-held radio remote control unit, either on shore or on board ship.
