Rolls-Royce opened a new Marine Service Center in the Port of Hamburg, Germany. The investment marks the latest stage in the development of a global marine service network. This year, with Hamburg, four new or expanded Marine Service Centres have been opened in major world ports. The Group now has dedicated marine sales and overhaul facilities in 35 countries, providing round-the-clock support to customers worldwide. This new facility further increases the Rolls-Royce footprint in Germany, a strategic market, where the Group already employs around 3,200 people at two aerospace production facilities and a state-of-the-art mechanical testing facility.

Rolls-Royce has opened seven Marine Service Centres in the last two years. The global network now includes facilities in 35 countries, enabling a growing number of customers to access engineering services, spare parts and the extensive range of Rolls-Royce marine products.The Walvis Bay facility will serve companies operating predominently off the west coast of Africa – one of the world’s fastest growing areas for oil and gas production. “Walvis Bay is a key port for merchant shipping and vessels supporting the offshore industry.

Rolls-Royce is making significant investments in global infrastructure and capability to deliver complex, integrated power systems and services for its marine customers.
