Lim Joins ST Engineering Board

Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd (ST Engineering) announced Lim Chin Hu has been appointed as an independent nonexecutive director of the company with effect from July 16, 2018.Lim is currently the Managing Partner of Stream Global Pte Ltd, an incubator for info-com startups. He has over 30 years of experience in the Info-communications industry. His past working experience includes various management positions in Hewlett Packard as well as key positions in Sun Microsystems Singapore (now Oracle) and Sun in Thailand, Philippines and Vietnam.

SSA Showcases OSV Sector with OSV@Vivo 'Open House'

OSV@Vivo has been taken to the heart of the Singapore public with an anticipated 4,000 visitors, expected to throng the two state-of-the-art Offshore Support Vessels (OSV) “Pacific Legacy” and “VOS Prince” moored at local shopping mall Vivocity Waterfront Promenade from 21 to 23 April 2016. Local institutes of higher learning are lending their support to this inaugural event with some 600 students from the Institute of Technical Education and Ngee Ann Polytechnic already registered to attend. This industry-led project, spearheaded by the Singapore Shipping Association (SSA) and held in conjunction with Singapore Maritime Week, is designed to create awareness of the offshore marine sector – a key sector in the Singapore maritime industry.

Marine Tech Summit Set for Singapore

Challenges for the next decade in port and maritime research and development (R&D) and technology will be the focus of the 2nd International Conference on Port and Maritime R&D and Technology (ICPMRDT), to be held from 10-12 September 2003 at the Pan Pacific Hotel, Singapore. Five main sessions, which would be based on the theme "Port and Maritime R&D and Technology", will be featured at the 3-day conference. They are Port Development, Management and Operations; Coastal/Hydraulics Engineering; Marine Environment; Innovative Ship Designs and Operations; and Navigation and Maritime Training. These are key areas that offer great commercial potential for the maritime R&D and technology sector.
