NL Industries Cash Quarterly Dividend

NL Industries, Inc. (NYSE:NL) announced on Feb. 20 that its board of directors has declared a regular quarterly dividend of $0.125 per share on its common stock to be paid in cash. The dividend is payable on March 26, 2009 to shareholders of record at the close of business on March 10, 2009. NL Industries, Inc. is engaged in the component products (security products, furniture components and performance marine components), titanium dioxide pigments and other businesses.

MEP Announces New Board, Staff Members

Marine Environmental Partners, Inc. (MEP), a developer of innovative technology for ballast water and wastewater treatment, announced the election of Ann Beal Salamone to the company’s Board of Directors and the addition of Jorge Pérez to the sales staff. A nationally known chemist, Ms. Salamone is president and co-founder of Rochal Industries, Inc., a Boca Raton-based research firm. During her professional career, Salamone has worked as a chemist for NL Industries, Colgate Palmolive and Morton Thiokol, and holds nine patents in chemical and medical technologies. Active in industry and community associations, she is the recent recipient of the American Chemical Societies’ Polymer Division Science Education Award.

Trico Names Non-Executive Chairman

Accelerating its strategic goal of reducing its total amount of outstanding indebtedness, Trico Marine Services, Inc. announced the appointment of Joseph Compofelice as non-executive Chairman of the Board and the retention of Lazard Freres & Co. LLC as financial advisor and Kirkland & Ellis LLP as legal advisor. This team will assist the Company's management in exploring various alternatives including selling assets, raising additional financing and restructuring the Company's debt, including its $250 million Senior Notes due 2012.
