Solstad CSV Normand Mermaid Extended

Norwegian offshore vessel owner Solstad Offshore announced it has entered into a new contract for the construction support vessels (CSV) Normand Mermaid.The new contract is in direct continuation of an existing one with Solstad Offshore's present client, keeping the 90.1-meter vessel fully utilized to the second quarter of 2025, with one optional year thereafter.The 2002-built Normand Mermaid will continue be utilized for geotechnical operations within the renewable energy and oil and gas sectors, Solstad said.

Solstad Offshore Nets Work for CSV Duo

Norwegian offshore vessel owner Solstad Offshore has won contracts for two of its medium size construction support vessels.Solstad said Thursday that the Dutch offshore services firm Fugro had chartered its CSV Normand Mermaid for a period of 16 months firm. Solstad Offshore CSVs Net Offshore Wind, Seismic Survey Contracts

Norwegian offshore vessel provider Solstad Offshore said Thursday it had won new contracts for two of its subsea construction vessels (CSV), the Normand Fortress and the Normand Mermaid, in offshore wind and seismic sectors, respectively.The CSV Normand Fortress has secured a contract with the UK-based contractor Manor Renewable Energy for operation on a UK offshore wind farm. Statoil Contract for Ocean Installer

Ocean Installer has been awarded an Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation (EPCI) contract for subsea installations and tie-in operations at the Statoil operated fields Gina Krog (former Dagny) and Eirin. The total contract value is approximately $85 million (U.S.), including options. The scope of work is part of the field development of the Gina Krogand Eirin fields and includes design, fabrication and subsea installation of Gas Export Pipeline End Manifold (PLEM), the oil export riser base, the tie-in spools and covers, as well as all associated remote tie-in operations. The work scope related to the Eirin field is included as an option due to the later project sanctioning schedule for this development.

Ocean Installer, Solstad Order Subsea Vessel

Ocean Installer and Solstad Offshore ordered a large, advanced construction support vessel (CSV). The vessel will be delivered in Q2 2014 and is to be operated by Ocean Installer. The contract is subject to GIEK (“Garanti-instituttet for eksportkreditt”) board approval (June 20th 2012). The vessel, of type OSCV 06L, has been designed by shipbuilder STX OSV and Solstad, in close cooperation with Ocean Installer. This combination has resulted in one of the most advanced CSVs built to date. The vessel is equipped with a 3000t carousel, a 400t active heave compensated (AHC) crane and launching systems for Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) (LARS). The vessel will be delivered with a 150t Vertical Lay Spread System (VLS) priced at 200 million NOK.
