TechnipFMC, DOF-owned Vessel Catches Fire in Brazil

Skandi Buzios, a pipelay support vessel owned by TechnipFMC and DOF, caught fire Friday morning in a Brazilian port.The Brazilian media and some social media accounts on Friday showed images and videos of the burning vessel with thick smoke billowing above it and firefighters trying to quell the fire.The incident happened at Porto do Açu, in São João da Barra, in the Brazilian state of Rio de Janeiro, and no injuries have been reported.Offshore Engineer has reached out to TechnipFMC seeking more info. "On Friday morning, June 2, a fire occurred onboard Skandi Buzios while the vessel was alongside Porto do Açu in Brazil. All personnel are safe, and no serious injuries were sustained. The fire has been brought under control after efforts by our crew, Porto do Açu, and local authorities.

Petrobras Awards $70M Deal to DOF's Brazilian Subsidiaries

Brazilian oil company Petrobras has awarded service contracts to DOF's Brazilian subsidiaries to Norskan Offshore Ltda. and DOF Subsea Serviços Brasil Ltda.The contracts are for the Skandi Iguazu AHTS vessel including ROV. The contracts will start in the fourth quarter of 2022 and will have a duration of three years. Petrobras will have options to extend the contracts for two more years. The total contract value for the firm period is about 70 million.

DOF Wins $260M in AHTS, ROV Deals with Petrobras in Brazil

Oslo-listed offshore vessel operator DOF has, through its Brazilian subsidiaries, won new long-term charter and service contracts with Petrobras for four AHTS vessels and ROVs. The vessels, Skandi Angra, Skandi Paraty, Skandi Urca, and Skandi Fluminense, (AHTS 18000 class), currently operating for Petrobras and equipped with DOF Subsea's work class ROVs, have been contracted for 3 years firm + 2 years options with Petrobras. The gross value of the contracts is around $260 million and with a planned start-up in the fourth quarter of 2022. The contracts have been awarded to DOF's subsidiaries Norskan Offshore Ltda. and DOF Subsea Serviços Brasil Ltda.

DOF's Norskan Clinches AHTS Deals with Petrobras

Norwegian offshore support vessel firm DOF said this week its Brazilian subsidiary Norskan had secured a new long-term contract and extended another one with the Brazilian oil company Petrobras.Anchor handler Skandi Botafogo has been awarded a 3-year contract with Petrobras to operate as AHTS with a startup in the fourth quarter of 2021 and 500 optional days to be mutually agreed.Skandi Amazonas AHTS has been awarded a 1-year extension on a contract with Petrobras until September 2022.Mons S.

Petrobras Awards 3-year Deals for DOF/TechnipFMC PLSV Duo

Brazilian oil company Petrobras has contracted awarded contracts for two pipelay support vessels owned by DOF and TechnipFMC.Oslo-listed DOF Subsea said Tuesday that the contracts, for three years each, are for the vessels Skandi Vitória and Skandi Niteroi, secured via JV partner TechnipFMC and via Norskan Offshore, respectively.Both vessels are Brazilian-built and flagged and owned by DOFCON Navegação Ltda., a joint venture between DOF Subsea (50%) and TechnipFMC (50%).Operations will start in February 2022 at the latest. No financial details were shared.Skandi Vitória was the first pipelay vessel built in Brazil, equipped with vertical and horizontal pipelay systems, a 250-tonne crane and two work ROVs (remotely operated vehicles).

Petrobras Takes DOF AHTS on a Three-year Charter

Brazilian oil and gas company Petrobras has awarded a contract for DOF Group's AHTS vessel Skandi Rio.DOF said Thursday that the vessel would support Petrobras' exploration and production activities on the Brazilian continental shelf. The vessel is owned and operated by DOF's subsidiary Norskan Offshore. DOF other subsidiary DOF Subsea Brasil Servicios will be responsible for the ROV operations. The contract duration is for three years with an expected start in December/January. Petrobras will have an option to extend the contract for another year.Built in 2007, Skandi Rio is a Brazilian built and flagged AHTS vessel equipped with Work Class ROV's for operations down to 3.000m water depth.

Petrobras Awards Long-Term Mero Deal to DOF's Skandi Salvador Vessel

Norwegian offshore vessel owner DOF has won a contract with the Petrobras-led Libra consortium to provide a multi-purpose support vessel for work at the Mero offshore oil field in Brazil.The Libra Consortium is led by Petrobras - with a 40% interest - in partnership with Shell Brasil (20%) ; Total (20%), CNODC (10%) and CNOOC Limited (10%). The contract for DOF is for three years, and DOF will deploy its Skandi Salvador vessel that will operate 2 x WROV for 24 hours providing inspection, maintenance, and subsea commissioning services in water depths of up to 2,500m, including shallow dive services with Oceânica. Petrobras Charters DOF Offshore Vessel Trio

Norwegian offshore vessel operator DOF has secured long-term charters for a trio of anchor handling units with Petrobras in Brazil.DOF said Tuesday Petrobras had awarded its Skandi Urca and Skandi Fluminense vessels 2+2 year contracts with the start in September 2020.Also, Petrobras has hired the Skandi Paraty vessel for a one-year contract that has already started this month,." DOF in Standstill Agreement with Lenders

Norwegian offshore support and subsea service vessel owners DOF and DOF Subsea have reached stand-still agreements with lenders representing to 93% secured debt of DOF companies. The agreement means all payments of principal and interest to the secured lenders are suspended until 30 June 2020 on certain customary terms and conditions. The deal does not cover payments on the NOK 100 million credit facility provided to DOF Subsea AS by certain of its lenders on March 27, 2020 to cover its immediate liquidity needs…

DOF Bags New Contracts

Norskan Offshore and DOF Subsea Brazil have been awarded RSV contracts for the Skandi Commander and one ROV. The contracts have a duration of 150 days with start-up in April 2018. Skandi Commander is a RSV vessel (MT 6009) built in 2007 and was reflagged with Brazilian flag in 2017. DOF Subsea has also been awarded various contracts in the Atlantic region, securing utilisation for vessels and personnel in the Subsea/IMR Projects segment. The contract is for several decommissioning campaigns in the North Sea securing utilisation for Skandi Neptune into Q3 2018. It includes, short-term contracts for the provision of vessel and ROV services securing utilisation for Geosund and Skandi Constructor in Q2 2018, with potential for extensions.

DOF Sells Skandi Marstein

Norwegian supply shipping company DOF sold and delivered the 1996 built platform supply vessel (PSV) "Skandi Marstein" to a new owner. The sale will not have any significant liquidity impact or impact on the accounts. The vessel has been in lay up since late autumn 2017. The sale is in line with DOF Group's strategy to divest in the oldest part of the fleet. Last month, Skandi Niteroi, a Brazilian built pipelay support vessel (PLSV) owned by the joint venture between DOF Subsea (50%) and TechnipFMC (50%), awarded a contract by McDermott on the Atlanta Project for Queiroz Galvão. Under the joint venture agreement, TechnipFMC is responsible for the engineering and management of the flexible pipelay, while Norskan S.A., a DOF ASA subsidiary, is responsible for the marine operations.

PLSV Skandi Búzios Begins Work off Brazil

Skandi Búzios, a pipelay support vessel (PLSV) owned 50/50 by a joint venture formed between TechnipFMC and DOF Subsea, has commenced an eight-year charter contract with Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras), as scheduled on April 13, 2017. Skandi Búzios is the sister ship of the Skandi Açu, which started its charter contract on August 13, 2016. These two vessels each have 650 tons flexible pipelay tension capacity, enabling the installation of large diameter flexible pipes in the ultra-deepwater Brazilian pre-salt area.

DOF Subsea wins three year IMR agreement

In Asia Pacific, DOF Subsea has been awarded a 3-year IMR frame agreement with one of the major oil and gas companies in the region. DOF Subsea has recently secured a Safety Case for Geoholm, and the vessel will be available in the Asia Pacific region from the beginning of Q2 2017. In a statement, CEO Mons S. Aase said, "I am very pleased with the performance of the team in Perth. Mons added: "Including Geoholm, we will have 5 advanced subsea vessels in the region, with an average age of 6 years. Our subsea fleet in the Asia Pacific region is well diversified and well suited for projects within all our operating segments: IMR, survey, diving, mooring and construction". Last week, DOF's subsidiary Norskan Offshore Ltda was awarded a 1+1 year contract with Petrobras for Skandi Botafogo.

Skandi Paraty, owned by Norskan Offshore Ltda, has been delivered from the yard and went on-hire on a four years contract with Petrobras.   Skandi Paraty is an AHTS, Vard AH11 design, and is the last vessel in a series of three, all built at Vard Niteroi in Brazil.

DOF Sells Five Ships in Brazil

DOF’s subsidiary Norskan Offshore in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, has entered an agreement to sell five ships operating in Brazil. The ships included in the agreement are Skandi Copacabana, UT 722 L, built 2005; Skandi Leblon, UT 755 L, built  2004; Skandi Flamengo, UT 755 L, built  2003; Skandi Yare, UT 755, built 2001 and Skandi Stolmen, UT 755, built 1997. The buyers are companies owned by a Brazilian Private Equity Fund managed by Mantiq Investimentos and Mare Investimentos, based in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Norskan Offshore Ltda.

Aker Yards to build AHTS for NorSkan Offshore

Aker Yards has been awarded a contract worth approximately $47.5 million by NorSkan Offshore Ltda., Brazil, to build an Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) vessel. Delivery is scheduled for April 2007. NorSkan Offshore is an offshore supply vessel company owned by Solstad Offshore ASA and DOF ASA in Norway on a 50/50 basis, and is focusing on the strong Brazilian offshore vessel market.

STX Norway Offshore to Build AHT Supply Vessels

STX Norway Offshore has through its subsidiary STX Brazil Offshore entered into two new contracts for Norskan Offshore for the building of two Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) of AH 11 design. The vessels are scheduled for delivery in 2012 and 2013. These vessels are the first of the new AH 11 design from STX Norway Offshore Design in Ålesund, designed with special focus on deep water operations. STX Norway Offshore to Build AHTS in Brazil

STX Norway Offshore has through its subsidiary STX Brazil Offshore entered into a new contract for the building of one Anchor Handling Tug Supply vessel for Norskan Offshore in Brazil. The vessel is scheduled for delivery at the end of 2013. This vessel is the third in a series of new AH 11 designs from STX Norway Offshore Design. We currently have a total of seven vessels under construction for DOF in Brazil. Norskan Offshore is a subsidiary of DOF ASA. The vessel is designed by STX Norway Offshore Design in Ålesund, Norway, and will be built at STX Brazil Offshore in Niteroi, Brazil.

Rolls-Royce $80.2M Deep Water Anchor Handling Contract

Rolls-Royce, the global power systems company, has been awarded a contract by STX OSV Trading to supply technologically advanced anchor handling systems. The equipment will be installed on three vessels operated by offshore services company Norskan for use in deep water oil and gas fields off the coast of Brazil. The contract is valued at over $80.2m and includes the supply of a range of innovative Rolls-Royce technologies. DNV GL to Class Two Brazilian Pipe Laying Vessels

The two pipe laying vessels (PLSVs) are to be built at the brand new Vard Promar yard in Recife, in the North East of Brazil. The order is part of four OSVs by DOF/Norskan and Technip, important customers for Vard. The other two of these vessels are to be built in Norway, also to DNV class. The new Vard Promar yard in North East Brazil represents a significant expansion of Brazil’s shipbuilding capability as more yards will be built outside of Rio de Janeiro. At 340 tons, the Brazilian built vessels will be among the most complex vessels ever constructed in Brazil.

Global Crossing has been providing Private IP Network Services and Network Management Services to Norskan Offshore, a Brazilian offshore services provider owned by Norwegian Group DOF, the second largest Norwegian investor in . Based in , Norskan Offshore has invested nearly $700m in the Brazilian naval industry and currently has six state-of-the-art vessels. Global Crossing's MPLS-based network connects both the shipyards and also the company's headquarters. As part of a three-year contract signed in September 2007, Global Crossing is also providing Network Management Services to Norskan Offshore in four sites in - Botafogo, Ilha do Governador, and Macae.

Norway's DOF Group Announce Offshore Charters

DOF Subsea provider of subsea services to the offshore oil & gas industry worldwide announce new vessel contracts. DOF Subsea AS has entered into a contract with Helix Well Ops for the vessel Skandi Constructor. The contract is for three year's firm with three, one year options. The contract will commence in the second quarter of 2013. Skandi Constructor is a well intervention vessel of Ulstein SX 121 design built in 2009. The vessel has a LOA of 120.2 m and a breadth of 25.0 m and is equipped with a 150 T crane and a multi-purpose tower with 140 t lift capacity.
