HHI to Add Massive Heavy Lift Vessel

Shipbuilder and offshore facilities contractor Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. (HHI) informs that its shipbuilding affiliate, Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries, completed a 10,000-ton heavy lift vessel (HLV), Hyundai-10000, at its shipyard in Yeongam, South Korea. The HLV is equipped with eight double truss jib cranes measures 182 meters in length, 70 meters in width and 11 meters in depth. The vessel will join HHI’s existing offshore facility-building infrastructure in Ulsan in March after a series of final tests, commencing operation from April this year.

Hyundai Heavy Industries Wins $1.94 Bln Order in UAE

Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. (HHI), the world’s biggest shipbuilder and a leading offshore facilities contractor, announced today that it received a Letter of Award (LOA) for a USD 1.94 billion order for the second package of the Nasr Full Field Development Project to build the fixed platforms and to lay subsea cables from Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (ADMA-OPCO) on July 7, 2014. As per the LOA, HHI will undertake engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning work for the super complex comprising a gas treatment platform, a separation platform, an accommodation platform; laying 144 km subsea power and 55 km infield cables; and modifying an existing manifold tower and two wellhead towers in Nasr oil field, 130 km northwest of Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Korean Yard Wins Chevron FPSO Contract

Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) to build a US$ 1.9-billion order Floating Production Storage and Offloading unit (FPSO) for Chevron North Sea Ltd. Hyundai Heavy is to carry out engineering, procurement, and construction for the floating offshore facility to be deployed in the Rosebank oil & gas field, 175 km northwest of the Shetland Islands. The 99,750-tonne turret moored FPSO is scheduled to be handed over by the end of November 2016. It will be able to produce 100,000 barrels of oil and 190 million standard cubic feet of natural gas per day.

Hyundai Heavy Wins $2 Billion Offshore Facilities Order

Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI), a shipbuilder and leading offshore facilities contractor received a letter of award for a $1.3 billion (USD) order for a floating production unit (FPU) and a $700 million order for a tension leg platform (TLP) from Total E&P Congo on March 26. Hyundai Heavy Develops FLNG Model

Hyundai Heavy Industries, the world’s biggest shipbuilder and offshore facilities contractor announced today that the Company completed developing its own Hyundai FLNG (Floating Liquefied Natural Gas Plant) model in association with Linde AG, an international industrial gases and engineering company of Germany. The Hyundai FLNG has an annual production capacity of 2.5 million tons of LNG and can store about 193,800 m3 LNG with its compact size of 355 m in length, 70 m width and 35 m in height.
