OIG Makes Executive Appointments
Offshore Installation Group said that Steve Preston will join the company in the position of Chief Executive Officer and John Smith will join the company as Executive Vice Chairman. Both Steve and John will take up their positions in March 2012. Preston joins OIG from Heerema Marine Contractors where he has been Executive Vice President, Commercial & Technology for the past 12 years responsible for the Groupâs worldwide commercial and business development activities. Steve brings over 35 years industry experience to OIG with a strong background in commercial negotiations, engineering and project management. Steve is a past President and active board member of the International Marine Contractors Association.
KOGT Signs Deal with Offshore Installation
Kongsberg Oil & Gas Technologies (KOGT) signed an agreement to supply a flexible risers and umbilicals installation system for the âCapstan Reel Installation Systemâ (CRIS), to the Offshore Installation Group (OIG). The patented CRIS design simplifies the subsea installation process, enabling a reduction in installation time and risk, which translates to significant cost savings. The CRIS is a sophisticated new product that will address the risk, safety and cost factors of offshore installations as production moves to deeper waters, further offshore.
Kongsberg & Offshore Installation Group Ink Deal
Major new project increases safety and reduces risk of flow line installation.
