Fifty-eight workers tested positive for COVID-19 at an oil production facility run by Tullow Oil off Ghana's Atlantic coast, the company said in a statement on Friday,Fifty-seven workers tested positive on a support vessel for a floating production and storage (FPSO) unit.

Welaptega Marine was awarded a contract to inspect the mooring system of the Nganhurra floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) facility operating in waters off the coast of North West Australia. Welaptega has sent a team of specialist engineers to the facility to conduct a Progressive Inspection program using its Rope Measurement System (RMS) and 3D-modeling system (3DM). “Our Progressive inspection philosophy is a guided examination of mooring systems that focuses on known problems and failure modes,” says Tony Hall, President and CEO of Welaptega Marine. Nganhurra FPSO is operated by Woodside Energy Ltd., and is the first oil production facility in the deep waters off the North West Cape.

UltraStrip Systems, Inc. announced that it has entered into an exclusive distribution agreement with Robotic Environmental Services, LLC (RES) of Baton Rouge, La. for the sale of UltraStrip’s patented robotic hydroblasting systems in Louisiana and Texas. Foss Maritime Company has delivered 36 pre-fabricated modules that were part of a multi-year sealift of specialized structure and components needed to construct an oil production facility at a remote project site in the Russian Far East. This remote oil production site is located near Chayvo Bay on the Northeast tip of Sakhalin Island. Located north of the Japanese Island of Hokkaido, Sakhalin Island is separated from Russian mainland by the Tartar Strait. The project was safely completed ahead of schedule despite complex logistical requirements and many environmental challenges such as ice, harsh storms and sea conditions. The delivery marks the completion of a project that began in 2003. The delivery of 36 modules include some up to 1800 tons, and measure at 280 x 45 x 85 ft.
