Keppel Wins Yinson FPSO Modification Work

Singapore-based Keppel Offshore & Marine (Keppel O&M) has through its wholly-owned subsidiary Keppel Shipyard, secured a contract from repeat customer Yinson for the modification of a floating production, storage and offloading vessel (FPSO).The contract is between Keppel Shipyard and Yinson Nepeta Production Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Yinson Production Pte Ltd, for the fast-track modification and upgrading of FPSO Allan. Yinson, First E&P in $902 Mln FPSO Deal

Malaysia’s floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) operator Yinson and Nigerian oil company First Exploration & Petroleum Development Company Ltd (First E&P) have executed a contract for an FPSO to be deployed offshore Nigeria.The contracts worth $901.79 million were entered into via its wholly-owned subsidiary Yinson Nepeta Production Ltd (YNPL) and indirect subsidiary Yinson Operations & Production West Africa Ltd (YOPWAL).The estimated aggregate value of the contract is based on the assumption that the extension options are fully exercised, comprising the bareboat charter contract of $617.09 million (RM2.51 billion) and…

Maersk Drilling Secures Contract for Newest Drillship

Maersk Drilling was awarded a contract from eni Ghana Exploration and Production Ltd. for employment of the newbuild drillship Maersk Voyager. The contract will see Maersk Voyager work on the Offshore Cape Three Points (OCTP) Project offshore Ghana with expected commencement in July 2015. The firm contract period is 3.5 years with an option to extend by one year, and the total estimated revenue from the firm contract is $545 million including mobilization and escalations. Claus V. Maersk Voyager is the last in a series of four ultra deepwater drillships in Maersk Drilling’s rig fleet.

EMAS Wins Chevron Contract

EMAS' Offshore Construction division, EMAS AMC, was awarded a contract by Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production Ltd, Chevron Offshore (Thailand) Ltd and Chevron Pattani Ltd. This award will see EMAS AMC installing a number of wellhead platforms and associated pipelines in the Gulf of Thailand. This project is expected to commence in early 2012 for a three year firm period (2012 – 2014) with an option period for an additional two years (2015 – 2016), which in aggregate is estimated to increase the orderbook for EMAS AMC to over $600m. Mr Lionel Lee, EMAS’s Managing Director, said: “This award is an important milestone for us and reaffirms the growing relationship that we have with Chevron in the Asia Pacific region”.
