Rickmers-Linie Appoints New Agents in Two Countries

Rickmers-Linie, the Hamburg based operator of heavy lift and project liner services, is now actively serving Bangladesh and Sri Lanka with direct calls in Chittagong and Colombo, respectively. It has therefore appointed new agents in these two countries. In addition, a new agency has been selected in the Port of Nantes St. Nazaire in France. All have been appointed with immediate effect. In Bangladesh, the new agent is HSR Ocean Trades, located in Chittagong. In Sri Lanka, the new agent is Diamond Shipping Services (Pvt) Ltd., located in Colombo. The company also has a branch office in Galle. In October, 2011, Rickmers-Linie announced that it had won a long-term contract to transport fuselage sections for Airbus from Morehead City…

Rickmers-Linie Expands its China Coverage

Rickmers-Linie, the Hamburg-based operator of heavy lift and project liner services,  is expanding its market coverage in China and is enhancing its sales and marketing activities into central China and in Southern China. According to Wolfgang Harms, Rickmers-Linie’s Chief Representative for Greater China, moving closer to the major industrial production facilities and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) companies will enhance the company’s ability to offer its clients tailor made, innovative and efficient transportation solutions from the factory up to the construction site.

Rickmers-Linie to Deliver Airbus Fuselage

Rickmers-Linie, the Hamburg based operator of heavy lift and project liner services, has been selected by Spirit AeroSystems as its partner for the transportation of fuselage sections for Airbus from Morehead City, North Carolina (NC), to Montoir (Port of Nantes St. Nazaire) in Northern France. The contract covers the transportation of fuselage sections and will run over a period of several years. The fuselage sections are designed for the Airbus A350 XWB series. After a trial shipment was carried out successfully earlier this year, the contract was signed in a small ceremony on 14 July 2011 in Hamburg. “We are looking forward to this cooperation with Spirit,” said Gerhard Janssen, Director Marketing & Sales at Rickmers-Linie.
