Kishorn Port Eyes Offshore Wind Opportunities as Expansion Plans Approved

Kishorn Port's proposal to extend the port’s dry dock has received approval from The Highland Council."This is a further and significant step in the regeneration of the port and dry dock," Kishorn Port, located on the North West coast of Scotland, said Tuesday.The development proposal involves an extension of the dry dock into adjoining land which, when completed, will allow the port to receive vessels and structures up to 250 meters in length in comparison to the current 160 meters.

TRIG Acquires French Wind Farms

UK-based investment fund  The Renewables Infrastructure Group (TRIG) has acquired stakes in four French onshore windfarms, with a total capacity of 107.8 MW. InfraRed’s listed renewables vehicle did not disclose financial details of acquisitions. Watson Farley & Williams (WFW) has advised British investment fund.WFW assisted TRIG on the acquisition, from their operations manager Renewable Energy Systems (RES), and financing of the two ready to build “Rosières” and “Montigny” wind farms in the Northern French departments of Meuse and Aisne with a total installed capacity of 31.8 MW.It also assisted the acquisition from the Chinese energy…

Cyberhawk Lands in Portuguese Market

Scottish Government Approves EOWDC Project

The project partners behind the ground-breaking European Offshore Wind Deployment Center (EOWDC) welcomed the Scottish Government’s decision to approve consent for the project. The project is a demonstration facility for next generation wind turbines and associated technology. With expected capital expenditure of more than £230 million, the EOWDC would prove to be a major investment in Scotland’s renewables infrastructure and a vital boost to its offshore wind ambitions. The EOWDC is a joint venture between Vattenfall – Europe’s sixth largest generator of electricity – the Aberdeen Renewable Energy Group (AREG), a pioneering private-public partnership, and consortium partner Technip Offshore Wind, a leading provider of specialist offshore wind installation and project management services.
