RigNet Settles Inmarsat Arbitration

RigNet, Inc. announced that it has reached a settlement with Inmarsat Global Limited that concludes the GX Arbitration pending before the International Center for Dispute Resolution. Pursuant to the settlement, RigNet will pay Inmarsat $45 million immediately, $5 million in the third quarter of 2019, and $750,000 in the third quarter of 2020.“We are glad to put this matter behind us. MODEC Connects Offshore Fleet with O3b/RigNet

O3b Networks, technology solutions company RigNet and floating production service provider MODEC, entered an agreement to provide high-throughput, low latency connectivity for MODEC’s Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessels off the coast of Brazil. RigNet will integrate the O3b satellite network solution, enabling MODEC to deliver operational decisions in real-time through advanced collaborative environments. Experts at onshore monitoring centers can now work directly with offshore operators, using real-time information to make better and faster decisions, resulting in increased production and enhanced operating efficiency. RigNet Partners Inmarsat to Offer Fleet Xpress

Simmons & Co in Aberdeen completed 14 deals in 2012 valued $2.3-billion, more than double the 2011 total value. ENSCO Will Use New Communications System

ENSCO International Incorporated announced that they will install a new communications system onboard all of its Gulf of Mexico jackup rigs. The company will provide VSAT, telephone, fax, broadband internet, data and email services, all through a secure onshore hub facility. C. Christopher Gaut, ENSCO Senior Vice President, commented on the new service, ``We believe this enhanced system will enable us to better meet the communication needs of our customers and other service providers on our rigs. Tom Chapman, ENSCO's Director of Information Technology, continued, ``Telecommunications on a mobile offshore structure presents some difficult challenges. Hercules Offshore Selects RigNet Communications Solutions

RigNet, Inc., a provider of managed remote communications solutions for the upstream oil and gas industry, recently announced the expansion of its contract with Hercules Offshore to provide managed remote communications to its fleet of jackup drilling rigs and U.S. Gulf of Mexico-based inland barges. Under the previous contract, RigNet provided managed communication services to most Hercules Offshore rigs operating outside of the United States. This recent agreement expands the contract to include the company's jackup rigs and inland barges in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico, including the recently-acquired rigs from Seahawk Drilling. ENSCO, RigNet Renew Contract

RigNet Inc., a privately held provider of managed communications services to the oil and gas industry, announced it has renewed its contract with ENSCO Offshore Company to provide voice and high-speed data services to ENSCO's fleet-wide drilling operations in the Gulf of Mexico. As part of this renewal, RigNet will now be the sole communications provider for ENSCO's Gulf of Mexico fleet, replacing Caprock Communications who had provided satellite communications. Offshore Communications VSAT Contract for RigNet
