Rolls-Royce Power Systems Division has opened a new Remanufacturing and Overhaul Center on its mtu Aiken campus in South Carolina.First announced in 2021 and representing a low double-digit million dollar investment, the new 69,000-sq.ft. (6,400 sqm) facility is connected to the existing manufacturing operations, bringing formerly outsourced workshop and warehouse operations in-house and expands them to provide remanufacturing and overhaul of mtu Series 2000, Series 4000 and Detroit Diesel 2-Cycle engines and components, plus internal and external rework services.

Rolls-Royce business unit Power Systems has opened a new test bench for mtu engines at the company’s location in Suzhou, China. The first of Rolls-Royce’ series of ship intelligence experience spaces has opened to show customers, suppliers and partners how the latest digital solutions can transform the marine industry. Rolls-Royce has announced the opening of a new marine service center in Bergen, Norway. The facility will service the North Sea fleet, giving access to on-shore power and a shorter sailing time to service, providing a favorable environmental profile. The service center’s workshop is an area of nearly 1,300 square meters and the length of quay is sufficient for two vessels to berth simultaneously. Rolls-Royce, a global power systems company, has opened a new Marine Service facility in Guangzhou, to better serve its growing customer base in southern China. Rolls-Royce is expanding its marine services network in China to deal with increased customer demand. The new facility in Guangzhou joins those already in operation in Hong Kong, Dalian and Shanghai. The newly opened facility, located in proximity to Guangzhou’s busy commercial port and ship repair yards, includes a maintenance workshop and offices for a small team of service engineers and customer support personnel. Rolls-Royce officially opens its new European Marine Technology and Training Centre in Ålesund, Norway. The celebration, whose guest of honour was HRH Crown Prince Haakon of Norway, marked the formal opening of this 3,000m² ultra-modern facility, in the heart of Norway's maritime cluster. The centre features the latest Rolls-Royce marine technology and equipment to support customer training and simulation requirements and is particularly focused on offshore deepwater oil and gas exploration and production activities.

Rolls-Royce opened a new Marine Service Center in the Port of Hamburg, Germany. The investment marks the latest stage in the development of a global marine service network. This year, with Hamburg, four new or expanded Marine Service Centres have been opened in major world ports. Rolls-Royce opened a new Marine Service Center today in the Port of Gdynia, Poland. The opening marks the latest stage in the development of a global Marine Service Center network, which provides 24-hour access to Rolls-Royce skills and expertise to customers in 35 countries.
