Liquefied Natural Gas Limited today informed having finalised the acquisition of 100% of Bear Head LNG Corporation (BHLC). This follows the announcement to the ASX by LNGL on 28 July 2014 regarding the signing of an agreement to acquire BHLC from a subsidiary of Anadarko Petroleum Corporation (Anadarko) for US$11.0 million, and the satisfaction of standard closing conditions and consents. HP / Extreme HP typically refers to borehole pressures between 10,000 psi and 20,000 psi whereas HT / Extreme HT refers to borehole temperatures between 300 degrees Fahrenheit and 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Pressures and temperatures outside these ranges are referred to as “Ultra-HPHT”, which represents the absolute limits of current technology. While the HPHT term is widely used, it should be noted that pressure and temperature do not always correlate: in Thailand many wells have extremely high temperatures without correspondingly high associated pressures.

Liquefied Natural Gas Limited today announced that it has significantly expanded its presence in the North American Liquefied NaturalGas (LNG) sector by signing an agreement to acquire 100% of Bear Head LNG Corporation (BHLC)from a subsidiary of Anadarko Petroleum Corporation (Anadarko) for US$11.0 million. A 255-acre site comprising industrial-zoned land (180 acres) and deep-water acreage (75 acres) as well as foundations in place for two 180,000 cubic meter LNG tanks. The land has been cleared, a majority of site works completed and roads constructed. The Project Rights of the previously proposed LNG import terminal, including all assets, rights and obligations associated with the Bear Head project.

Statoil's first quarter 2010 net operating income was NOK 39.6 billion, an 11% increase compared to NOK 35.5 billion in the first quarter of 2009. The quarterly result was mainly affected by a 48% increase in liquids prices measured in NOK and a 35% decrease in gas prices. Adjusted earnings in the first quarter of 2010 were NOK 38.9 billion. The 8% increase in adjusted earnings from first quarter 2009 to first quarter 2010 was primarily caused by the increase in prices for liquids and was only partly offset by reduced gas prices, lower entitlement volumes and lower results from oil trading. Net income in the first quarter of 2010 was NOK 11.1 billion, compared to NOK 4.0 billion in the first quarter of 2009.
