PetroVietnam University (PVU) joined the Intergraph Education Grant Program. PVU is located in the offshore oil and gas hub of southern Vietnam, and was established to focus on the development of the country's oil and gas industry. The Vietnamese university recognized that it needs to equip its students with the necessary skills and knowledge so that they are ready to apply the tools that employers already use when they join the work force. PVU will provide its students with access to SmartMarine Enterprise solutions, including SmartMarine 3D, SmartPlant Review, SmartPlant Instrumentation, SmartPlant Electrical, SmartPlant P&ID and SmartSketch. Intergraph's ruled-based technology features unique automation capabilities, which was a compelling factor in PVU's decision.

Brazilian joint venture will use SmartMarine® Enterprise components for project with oil giant Petrobras. Tome Ferrostaal, a joint venture between Tome Engenharia and Ferrostaal in Brazil, has selected Intergraph® SmartMarine® Enterprise solutions, distributed by Sisgraph, as part of a project with Petrobras, one of the world's largest energy companies. Intergraph's enterprise engineering software will be used to construct the topsides of six identical floating, production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessels, which will be built in Brazil. Sisgraph, based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, has been a distributor of Intergraph solutions in South America for more than 30 years. Intergraph and Sisgraph are part of Hexagon.

CAESAR II 2011 R1 provides existing and potential customers a fast and customizable interface between the leading pipe stress analysis software and Smart 3D, Intergraph’s next-generation design software.

WorleyParsons, Empresarios Agrupados and Samsung Heavy Industries receive Intergraph® awards at Hexagon 2012 (the annual user conference for Intergraph's Process, Power & Marine division and Hexagon AB's other businesses) in a competition that recognizes the most innovative uses of SmartPlant® and SmartMarine® Enterprise solutions. The competition is open to all SmartPlant® Enterprise and SmartMarine® Enterprise engineering design software users and the subject matter must relate to the process, power, offshore or shipbuilding industries. WorleyParsons received "Best of Show" for its intricately detailed view of a process facility produced using SmartPlant 3D, SmartPlant P&ID, SmartPlant Review, SmartPlant Electrical, SmartPlant Instrumentation and SmartPlant Foundation.

Intergraph, a leading global provider of engineering and geospatial software that enables customers to visualize complex data has released SmartPlant® FreeView™, a free .VUE viewer that allows users to display and navigate Intergraph 3D models and view associated plant properties. SmartPlant FreeView will open Intergraph SmartPlant 3D and SmartMarine® 3D projects published as a .VUE file. A user then may walk through the plant, ship or offshore model and select any object in the view to see its associated plant properties via the MDB2 package.

Petrovietnam Marine Shipyard Joint Stock Company (PV Shipyard) has standardized on Intergraph® SmartMarine® 3D as its preferred 3D offshore engineering and design solution. PV Shipyard has also expanded its portfolio of Intergraph solutions and has selected other SmartMarine Enterprise solutions (including SmartPlant® Foundation, SmartPlant Instrumentation, SmartPlant P&ID, SmartPlant Electrical, SmartPlant Reference Data, and SmartPlant Review) to support its projects.

Intergraph has recently signed a five-year contact with STX Europe. STX France Solutions has purchased SmartMarine® Enterprise, hoping to improve its shipbuilding design efficiency and quality. The agreement includes Intergraph SmartMarine 3D® and SmartPlant® Foundation, SmartPlant® P&ID, SmartPlant® Instrumentation, SmartPlant® Electrical Basic & Detailed, SmartPlant® Materials, SmartPlant® Foundation, SmartPlant® Review and SmartPlant® Review Publisher.
