Macro Sensors Gauge Tank Volume Changes
Configured with a float, Macro Sensors HSIR Series LVDT Linear Position Transmitters are serving as level sensors to measure liquid level changes from a few inches to several feet in gauging tank level volumes. In this LVDT level sensor configuration, a stainless-steel float coupled to a nonmagnetic stainless-steel rod is attached to the high-permeability, armature core of the LVDT. The 4 to 20-mA loop-powered LVDT position transmitter senses the position of the core and, therefore, the level of the float. Sensitivity to the change in level depends on the length of LVDT.
Tape Level Indicator Requires No Electricity
Liquid Level Indication with Madison’s Tape Level Indicator Requires No Electricity. Madison Company’s TL Series Tape Level Indicators are designed for simple and economical liquid level indication where no electrical power is available. Ideal for 30 or 55 gallon remote and mobile tanks, these devices incorporate a magnetic float and a standard tape measure blade that is sealed in a liquid-tight tube. Only the stem and float come in contact with the liquid, so the tape is always clean and easy-to-read. The retractable steel tape magnetically latches to the level position of the magnetic float.
