Disney Wonder in Major Enhancements and Upgrades
Disney Cruise Line has announced that new entertainment and experiences will be added to Disney Wonder this fall when the ship goes into dry dock. Following the fall Eastbound Panama Canal cruise, the Disney Wonder will set a course for Cadiz, Spain to undergo an overdue re-imagination along the line’s of the Disney Magic dry dock in 2013. Disney is promising some exciting new entertainment and experiences for Disney Wonder guests after her transformed this fall. Headlining the enhancements are imaginative spaces for children, a jazzy Princess and the Frog inspired restaurant Tiana’ Place and an English pub. The Disney Parks Blog has reported that Parrot Cay will be changing to Tiana’s Place Restaurant, and it is going to be insanely awesome.
Silversea's New Flagship Arrives in America
Silversea Cruises' new flagship, Silver Spirit, arrived Jan. 19 at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, completing her maiden crossing of the Atlantic, a 16-day voyage which began in Lisbon on January 3. The all-suite Silver Spirit will host several days of inaugural activities while in Fort Lauderdale, including an exclusive evening event on January 20 for guests sailing on the 91-day Grand Inaugural Voyage. In a first for the cruise company, the invitation-only Christening Ceremony taking place on January 21 will be broadcast live on the Silver Spirit Blog on the company's Internet site…
Carnival’s Glory Will Be Newest and Largest in Port
that port July 19, 2003. over the 2,124-passenger Carnival Pride, which debuted the line's first seven-day cruise schedule from Port Canaveral earlier this year. Pride will be redeployed to another homeport. including an upscale "steakhouse-style" supper club serving U.S.D.A. beef and other gourmet cuisine. Carnival Glory will also feature numerous "family-friendly" amenities, including an expansive 3,300-square-ft. attractions.
Carnival Repositions Carnival Legend
Carnival Cruise Lines' new 2,124-passenger Carnival Legend will operate a series of eight-day "exotic" Caribbean voyages from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Nov. 10, 2002 - April 19, 2003, marking the first time the line has deployed a brand new ship to that port. Originally, this program was scheduled to operate from Miami. Carnival Legend's new Fort Lauderdale-based schedule is the line's first long-term cruise program from that port in more than a decade. Eight-day southern Caribbean cruises will visit St. City, Belize; Limon, Costa Rica; and Colon, Panama. Carnival Spirit, in November 2001. vessels to visit exciting destinations previously available only on longer length voyages.
Carnival Names New Ship
Carnival Splendor is the name Carnival Cruise Lines has chosen for its new 112,000-ton cruise ship scheduled to enter service in spring 2008. Representing a new class of ship for the line, the 3,006-passenger vessel will be constructed by Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri and feature an innovative new design, including the largest spa and children’s facilities in the Carnival fleet. Highlights include a 17,800-square-foot spa. A 5,500-sq. ft. children’s playroom will be located mid-ship. Located aft will be a new sports deck featuring arena-style seating for games and other events, while a reservations-only supper club will be located atop the poolside Lido restaurant, providing diners with magnificent ocean vistas.

Carnival Chooses Name
Carnival Cruise Lines chose the name Carnival Liberty for its new 110,000-ton SuperLiner scheduled to enter service in fall 2005. The fourth in the line's 110,000-ton Conquest-class series, the massive 2,974-passenger 'Fun Ship' will be constructed by Italian shipyard Fincantieri Cantieri Navali Italiani S.p.A.. Carnival Liberty's homeport and itinerary have yet to be announced. The 952-ft. Carnival Liberty will be among the largest passenger vessels at sea, and will feature four restaurants, including two twin-level formal dining rooms, an expansive two-deck-high casual poolside eatery, and an upscale "steakhouse-style" supper club.
