Statoil, ABB Enter Subsea Technology Agreement

Statoil and ABB have entered an agreement to develop solutions for subsea electrical power transmission, distribution and power conversion systems for water depths down to 3,000 meters and over long distances. The agreement is in the form of a cost-shared joint industrial program (JIP) led by Statoil on behalf of other participating oil companies, with ABB as the technology developer. Volvo Penta, Yamaha Motor Partnership

AB Volvo Penta and Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd have entered into a technological agreement to develop boat control system. Through the wholly owned electronics company, CPAC Systems, Volvo Penta is developing world-leading electronic solutions, such as the electronic platform. This CAN-based network, which links the engine, transmission, instrumentation and accessories in a single system, currently forms the electronic base of Volvo Penta’s product range for power boats. The introduction of boat control system in the marine industry is going to intensify in the years to come and, with a view to creating technological synergies, Volvo Penta and Yamaha Motor have now signed an agreement involving technological partnership.

GX Technology Agreement With Polarcus

ION Geophysical Corporation (NYSE:IO) announced that its seismic imaging subsidiary, GX Technology (GXT), has signed an agreement with The Polarcus Group of Companies (Polarcus) for the provision of seismic data processing services. This agreement includes onboard quality control (QC), onboard processing, and land-based data processing (DP) services.
