Wärtsilä to Optimize Performance of Four TMS Cardiff Gas Vessels

Wärtsilä is expanding its cooperation with the Athens based ship management company TMS Cardiff Gas Ltd. Under the recently signed maintenance agreement, Wärtsilä ensures the maintenance predictability of the operation of four TFDE LNG Carriers in TMS Cardiff Gas’ fleet. Eniram’s data collection platform and advanced data analytics helps TMS Cardiff Gas to achieve optimal fleet operations, resulting in reduced fuel costs and emissions. The maintenance agreement, signed in December 2017, advances the performance monitoring of TMS Cardiff Gas’ vessels.

TMS Tankers Selects Coldharbour Marine BWTS

U.K.-based Coldharbour Marine, a manufacturer of ballast water treatment systems based on inert gas technology, has reached an agreement with Greece’s TMS Tankers to retrofit its GLD BWT System. TMS Tankers is a member of the Athens based TMS Group operating currently 43 tankers. The 2013-built 158,513DWT Suezmax tanker Bordeira, owned and operated by TMS Tankers, will be the first to be fitted with Coldharbour’s BWT System in early 2018 and will be used to carry out U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) type approval tests for Coldharbour, supervised by Lloyd’s Register. LR has Independent Laboratory Approval status with the USCG. The classification society has already overseen IMO type approval for the Coldharbour system, validated by the UK’s Maritime and Coastguard Agency.

TMS Cardiff Orders Two More LPG Carriers

The Economou family's TMS Cardiff Gas Ltd. has exercised options on its contracts with Hyundai Heavy Industries of Korea for the construction of an additional two 78,700 cbm LPG carriers. Both vessels are scheduled for delivery in Q4 2017, when they will enter into ten year timecharter contracts with Clearlake Shipping Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Gunvor Group. The vessels will be tradeable across both, the new and old Panama canal, and will be built to the highest industry specifications, as per TMS Cardiff Gas standards. These orders mark the Group's further expansion into the LPG sector, currently with a fleet of four VLGCs, all with secured term employment upon delivery.

ABS Nautical wins Two More Clients

ABS Nautical Systems Sign Two New Customer in Greece. ABS Nautical Systems has signed contracts with TMS Bulkers Ltd. and TMS Dry Ltd. for use of its NS5 Enterprise software. The Greece based bulk carrier operating companies for the TMS group were both looking to improve the machinery and structural assessment programs that are already in place. Both companies will implement the Hull Inspection and Maintenance & Repair software through the ABS Newbuild Program, which offers free software to ABS-classed vessels built after 1 January 2009.
