Northrop Grumman Delivers Integrated Bridge System for Turkish Megayacht. Northrop Grumman Corporation's (NYSE:NOC) Sperry Marine business unit has delivered a state-of-the-art suite of navigation electronics for a new megayacht being built by Proteksan-Turquoise Yachts in Turkey. The new megayacht is being equipped with a complete Northrop Grumman Sperry Marine VisionMaster FT integrated bridge system (IBS) with TotalWatch multifunction displays. All system components are type-approved to meet International Maritime Organization (IMO) and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) performance standards. Northrop Grumman Supplies the Ancora

The new megayacht Ancora, which recently made its debut from Italy’s Baglietto shipyard in La Spezia, has been fitted with a state-of-the-art integrated bridge system (IBS) supplied by Northrop Grumman Corporation’s (NYSE: NOC) Sperry Marine business unit. The bridge electronics suite is based on Sperry Marine’s VisionMaster FT technology and features an array of TotalWatch multi-function workstations for controlling the ship’s radars, electronic chart system, closed-circuit TV, machinery monitoring and conning displays. Sperry Marine Systems for Megayacht

Northrop Grumman Corporation’s (NYSE: NOC) Sperry Marine business unit is supplying a complete suite of electronic navigation systems for a new megayacht being constructed in Italy. The 142-foot (43-meter) motoryacht, which is being built for a private owner at the Baglietto Shipyard in La Spezia, will be equipped with an integrated bridge system (IBS) based on Sperry Marine’s new-generation VisionMaster FT™ technology. The scope of supply will include X- and S-band radars, electronic chart display and information system (ECDIS), TotalWatch™ multi-function workstation, gyrocompass, autopilot, steering system and other navigation sensors.

Sperry INBS for New Aircraft Carrier

Northrop Grumman Corporation was selected to provide a new-generation integrated navigation and bridge system (INBS) for the UK Ministry of Defence’s (MOD) Future Aircraft Carrier (CVF) project. The initial INBS design-phase contract was awarded to Northrop Grumman’s Sperry Marine business unit by the Aircraft Carrier Alliance, the industrial alliance that, in the manufacture phase of the project, will include the planned Joint Venture between VT Group and BAES (including BAES Marine and BAES Integrated System Technologies), Babcock Support Services Ltd, Thales Naval and MOD. Northrop Grumman to Supply IBS for Genesis

Northrop Grumman Corporation has been selected to supply integrated bridge systems (IBS) for Royal Caribbean’s Genesis Project shipbuilding program. Northrop Grumman’s Sperry Marine business unit has been awarded a contract to supply a complete integrated suite of navigation, communication and control systems for the new giant cruise ships, which will be built at Aker Yards in Finland. The Genesis Project integrated bridge systems will be based on Sperry Marine’s VisionMaster FT technology, and will include a total of 13 TotalWatch multi-function workstations on the bridge, as well as a TabletBridge wireless node in the captain’s cabin.

Grimaldi Orders Integrated Bridge Systems from Northrop Grumman

Northrop Grumman Corporation has received orders to supply integrated bridge systems for five new roll-on/roll-off (ro-ro) vehicle carriers being built for Grimaldi Group Naples by Croatian Shipbuilding Corporation at its Uljanik shipyard in Pula, Croatia. The ships will be fitted with a complete suite of navigation and communication systems to be supplied by Northrop Grumman’s Sperry Marine business unit in conjunction with Compania Generale Telemar. The navigation systems to be installed on the five new ro-ro ships will be based on Sperry Marine’s new-generation VisionMaster FT technology, which was unveiled at the 2006 SMM Exhibition in Hamburg.

Sperry Marine Unveils New Navigation Technology

Northrop Grumman Corporation’s Sperry Marine business unit unveiled its next-generation marine navigation technology last week at the Sunborn Yacht Hotel in London. The new Sperry Marine family of navigation products, which will be marketed under the VisionMaster FT label, will be publicly launched at the Shipbuilding Machinery & Marine (SMM) Technology exhibition in Hamburg in September. “VisionMaster FT is a scalable family of solutions designed with an advanced PC-based Ethernet architecture offering easy upgradeability and built-in redundancy to meet the emerging requirements for shipboard navigation in the 21st century,” said J. Nolasco DaCunha, director of Sperry Marine Systems.
