Tallinna Sadam, Alexela Invest Sign MoU

AS Tallinna Sadam and AS Alexela Invest signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for finding the best solutions for the development and implementation of LNG terminal and servicing LNG tankers and bunkers; and establishing port facilities for loading and unloading LNG on the Pakri peninsula by the Lahepere bay in Paldiski.Tallinna Sadam and Alexela will continue to negotiate the conditions for joint activities with the aim of reaching the contract by the end of 2020.According to the MOU, the responsibility of Tallinna Sadam in participating in the Paldiski LNG terminal project would be the development and maintenance of the necessary…

HCAC to Aquire NRC, Sprint Energy from JFLCO

J.F. Lehman & Company (JFLCO), a middle-market private equity firm said that its investment affiliate JFL-NRC-SES Partners, LLC  signed an agreement to sell its membership interests in NRC Group Holdings, LLC (NRC Group), formed earlier this year with the combination of JFLCO companies National Response Corporation (NRC) and Sprint Energy Services (Sprint) , to Hennessy Capital Acquisition Corp. III (HCAC). After the transaction is completed, NRC Group will be a wholly-owned direct subsidiary of HCAC, who will change its name to NRC Group Holdings Corp. NRC Group Holdings Corp.

SITA UK, Forth Ports Form Port Recycling Hub

Suez Environment subsidiary, SITA UK, and Forth Ports Limited announced a long-term partnership that will see the creation of a major recycling and resource management hub based at the Port of Tilbury on the River Thames. The partnership is part of a growth strategy for both companies that includes the acquisition, for an undisclosed sum, of Forth Ports-owned Nordic Recycling by SITA UK under a share purchase agreement and a long-term agreement between the two companies. As part of this agreement, SITA UK will deliver a new alternative fuels waste material processing facility at the Port of Tilbury, which will process both solid recovered fuel (SRF) and refuse derived fuel (RDF).

Decom North Sea to Host “Lunch and Learn”

Decom North Sea (DNS), the offshore oil and gas decommissioning forum, is hosting a “lunch and learn” event to give supply chain companies the opportunity to present their offshore decommissioning capabilities and encourage knowledge share among members. The event will take place on Wednesday, March 19, at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel, Aberdeen, from 12-2 p.m. The event will include a presentation from Claxton Engineering, a company providing a broad range of cutting and abandonment services using methodologies that have been deployed on more than 260 well abandonments and slot recoveries.

First TWMA Offshore Processing Contract in Norway

TWMA, a  company in integrated drilling and environmental solutions for the international onshore and offshore oil and gas industry, has been awarded a major contract with Total E&P Norge AS to deliver offshore waste management services during the development of the Martin Linge field located on the Northern Viking Graben in the Central North Sea. The seven-year contract is TWMA’s first offshore contract in the region and, if given the go-ahead by Norwegian authorities, could see the introduction of offshore processing to the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS).

TWMA Wins Waste Management Contract Offshore W. Africa

Environmental waste management contractor TWMA has won its first offshore service contract in West Africa, signifying its intention to expand its business in this important region. The contract was awarded by AGR Petroleum Services and is worth around $1.6m over six months. It covers supply, installation and operation of an integrated drilling waste management solution. TWMA will provide a range of solids control technologies to AGR for its drilling campaign in the Hyperdynamics' concession offshore the Republic of Guinea.

Mass. Maritime Academy, $1.5m for Stadium

The Massachusetts Maritime Academy has received a pledge from Clean Harbors Environmental Services, Inc. of Norwell, Mass. in the amount of $1.5m for naming rights to its contiguous athletic stadium and gymnasium complex. The acceptance of the pledge, which was presented by Clean Harbors Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Alan S. McKim, was approved unanimously earlier this morning by the school's Board of Trustees and announced by Admiral Richard G. Gurnon, President of the Massachusetts Maritime Academy. The Clean Harbors Athletic Center will be comprised of the athletic stadium, which is the current home of Commander Edward A. Ellis Field, as well as all athletic and recreation facilities currently housed in Alumni Gymnasium.
