CPC Marine Terminal Loads 500 MT of Kazakh Oil

Half a billion tones of oil delivered by Kazakhstani Shippers to the Tengiz-Novorossiysk crude pipeline since the commencement of operation of CPC pipeline system was lifted from the Marine Terminal of Caspian Pipeline Consortium on November 17, 2018.The “milestone” ton was loaded on the ALEKSEY KOSYGIN tanker, said a press release from the CPC pipeline system, which mainly collects crude oil from large oil fields of West Kazakhstan, as well as crude oil from Russian producers.The first tanker was loaded at CPC Marine Terminal near Novorossiysk (near Yuzhnaya Ozereevka. Settlement, Krasnodar Krai) on October 13, 2001. In February 2018, the 5000th tanker was demoored from the Single point mooring.About 45 tankers are currently beeing loaded at CPC Marine Terminal monthly.

Caspian Sea Port Link Opened

President Nursultan Nazarbayev has formally opened the Borzhakty – Ersai railway. The 13·9 km branch from the Aktau - Uzen line will serve a port which is being developed on the Caspian Sea near Kuryk. Construction of the line including the laying of 22·3 km of track was undertaken by Kamkor, with work starting in October 1 2014. Bombardier has supplied EBI Lock 950 interlockings. The initial traffic on the railway will include materials for the construction of the port facilities. The line is expected to boost freight shipped to the country’s sea ports by rail. The volume of freight transhipped via Kazakh ports reached 10.3mn tonnes in 2014, 2% up from 2013. Of this the volume of freight shipped by rail was 6.2mn tonnes, a 10% increase y/y.

Italy's ENI in Kazakahstan Shipyard Joint Project

Kazakhstan’s President Nursultan Nazarbayev & Eni CEO Paolo Scaroni consulted in Astana during the VII Kazernergy Eurasian Forum. During the meeting, described as cordial and constructive, Eni's CEO shared the developments and results of the company's ongoing activities in the country with the President, affirming Eni's positive vision of the primary importance projects that Kazakhstan presents, such as the Kashagan and Karachaganak. The President was informed of joint projects for building a shipyard in the Caspian Sea and a gas turbine power plant in West Kazakhstan region.
