Bordelon Marine Renews Charter Deal with Oceaneering

Lockport, La. based Bordelon Marine announced it has renewed the charter agreement with Oceaneering International for the Brandon Bordelon; 260-foot-long DP2 Jones Act compliant ultra-light intervention vessel for an additional two-year firm term plus one-year additional option. The charter agreement renewal commenced in March 2024.The 2015-built vessel is mobilized with two Oceaneering Millennium Plus work class remotely operated vehicles (ROV) and Oceaneering survey equipment and technology.

U.S. based offshore vessel owner Bordelon Marine LLC said it has renewed the charter agreement with Oceaneering International, Inc. for the MV Brandon Bordelon; 260’ DP2 Jones-Act-compliant ultra-light intervention vessel for an additional two-year firm term.The charter agreement renewal commenced in February 2022. The vessel is currently oprtating in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico, according to AIS ship tracking data.The vessel is mobilized with two Oceaneering Millennium Plus work class remotely operated underwater vehicles (ROV) and Oceaneering survey equipment and technology.

BHGE Launches Multimodal Facility in Angola

Baker Hughes, a GE company (BHGE) announced the inauguration of its multimodal facility (MMF) for oil and gas in Luanda, Angola.The facility, with its additional capabilities across multiple product lines, will deliver a suite of products and services across the oil and gas value chain. It will serve as a hub to support customers and projects in Angola and Southern Africa region, and will also serve customers on a global scale.The strategic location for this multipurpose facility puts BHGE in close proximity to serve important projects in the region. This will enable BHGE to provide faster response and mobilization to customer sites, and reduced product and service delivery costs based on economies of scale of a one-stop shop.

Island Offshore Wins Premier Oil Service Contract

Island Offshore, a global Light Well Intervention (LWI) specialist, has been selected by Premier Oil U.K. Ltd. to undertake a new LWI service contract on the U.K. Continental Shelf. The win strengthens Island Offshore’s established position in the dynamic and competitive North Sea marketplace. Premier, an oil and gas exploration and production company, awarded the business to Island Offshore and the North Sea RLWI Alliance, the operator of three monohull vessels specially designed for well intervention tasks. A key factor in the decision-making process was said to be Island Offshore’s extensive segment expertise, having successfully performed approximately 250 well interventions since 2005.

Seadrill Offshore Services Links With Malaysia's SDRL

SapuraKencana Petroleum Berhad (SDRL)  & Seadrill Limited  sign MOU to integrate their tender rig businesses. The new and restructured tender rig business will mark a new phase of cooperation between the two companies. In addition SapuraKencana will also be offered the right to be the manager for three further tender rigs which are not part of the transaction. These rigs, West Vencedor, T-15 and T-16, are today either owned or planned to be owned by Seadrill Partners LLC and are therefore not included in the transaction. The operating rigs and the new-builds are all currently contracted under long-term fixed price contracts with companies such as Chevron, Shell, PTTEP, and Petronas Carigali. The total order backlog amounts to USD 1.55 billion as of end of October 2012.

Aker Solutions Secures Extended Agreement with Statoil

Statoil has exercised a two-year contract option with Aker Solutions for provision of mechanical wireline services on Statoil operated fields and mobile drilling units on the Norwegian continental shelf. The initial three-year contract period started in 2009. Statoil has now exercised the first of two potential two-year contract options. Aker Solutions estimates that the two-year contract extension will generate revenues of between NOK 700-800 million. The contract will occupy around 400 employees, of which approximately 60 per cent will be supporting Statoil offshore. Aker Solutions will manage the agreement from its well service hub at Forus, Stavanger, Norway. "Our cooperation with Statoil within the mechanical wireline segment dates back to 1984.

Offshore O&M Expenditure Forecast: $335B in 5 Years

More than $335 billion worth of expenditure is expected over the next five years on offshore oil & gas operations & maintenance (O&M), according to a new report, The World Offshore Operations & Maintenance Market Forecast 2012-2016, by Douglas-Westwood (DW). Expro Wins Contract with Shell

Expro wins important five year multi-discipline contract with Shell in Europe. International oilfield services company Expro has been awarded an important multi-million pound multi-discipline five year contract with Shell UIE. Expro has won the primary Slickline/Multiline contract across Shell UIE, which includes the UK, Ireland, Norway and the Netherlands. Additionally, Expro has been awarded a contract to provide well testing, drill stem testing (DST) tools and tubing conveyed perforating (TCP) services in the UK Northern North Sea, as well as the North Sea sectors of Ireland and Norway.

Expro Retains Wireline Contract in Indonesia

International oilfield service company Expro has renewed a three-year contract with Total in Indonesia for the supply of slickline services. As part of the contract, Expro will provide six slickline equipment packages and seven crews to support the drilling and completion operations in the Mahakam permit area. This area includes the following fields: Sisi Nubi, Tunu, Handil, Tambora Peciko. The Mahakam delta is located in East Kalimantan, Borneo. Major North Sea Contract Win for Expro

International oilfield service company Expro has been awarded a multi-million pound contract by Apache North Sea Ltd in the UK North Sea following completion of a competitive tender process. The contract, worth approximately $7.5m annually, mainly covers work on the Forties field. It sees Expro providing wireline services and establishing an alliance with another leading provider to deliver coiled tubing and pumping services for Apache. In total, 24 offshore employees will be dedicated to this contract. The contract has a firm duration of three years with two optional one-year extensions. Expro is a leading global provider of completion wireline services. Focusing on well performance and service, Expro provides a comprehensive range of services for cost-effective operations.

Aker Kvaerner Awarded Contract with BP Norge AS

BP Norge AS has awarded Aker Kvaerner a service contract for provision of personnel and equipment for well intervention services for the Ula, Valhall, Hod, Tambar and Skarv fields on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The contract is for a firm period of five years plus a two year optional period. The estimated contract value for the initial five years is NOK 175 million. The scope of work comprises mechanical wireline services, wireline tractor services and cased hole logging services. The work will be undertaken by the Aker Kvaerner subsidiary, Aker Kvaerner Well Service in Stavanger. Since the Ula field came onstream in 1986, Aker Kvaerner Well Service has provided well intervention services to BP.
