Pirate Ship 'Black Pearl' Embarks on Piggy-Back Voyage

Yacht Path Marine Group were contracted to transport the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' 140-ft replica tall ship across two oceans. The 270-ton, 140-foot custom-build pirate ship 'Black Pearl', was loaded aboard a BBC heavy lift vessel in Barbers Point, Hawaii for the three-week voyage to St. Thomas, USVI. The replica pirate ship "Black Pearl" was most famously known for her role in Disney's blockbuster 'Pirates of the Caribbean' franchise, and was constructed over the hull of another vessel, the "Sunset", which was once used to service the oil fields in the Gulf of Mexico.

New Generation Heavy Lift Ship Targets Yacht Market

Fort Lauderdale based Yacht Path Marine Group recently arrived into Port Everglades with a cargo of precious Superyachts. The heavy lift cargo vessel M/V HHL Tokyo initiated loading operations in Victoria, BC, and then proceeded to Mexico and Costa Rica loading over 13 yachts, of which 5 were over 100 ft in length; the largest yacht onboard was  156’ Feadship M/Y “Strangelove” weighing over 350 tons. Dockwise Q2 2009 Results

Dockwise Ltd. announced its second quarter and interim 2009 results. "Dockwise has had a good second quarter, and in quieter market conditions the business is displaying its strengths. This steady operational performance has allowed us significantly to deleverage the business by nearly USD 100 million in the first half of 2009, and we continue in our efforts to strengthen the balance sheet. Stringent cost discipline and a stop on hiring of new personnel is and will be continued. Dockwise's global spread has given us access to business wherever it has emerged, while utilization rates of over 90 per cent have sustained a healthy EBITDA margin and strong cash generation.

Dockwise Joins Forces with Yacht Path

Dockwise Ltd. announced plans for its wholly owned subsidiary Dockwise Yacht Transport (DYT) to merge with Yacht Path International Inc. The combination of Yacht Path with DYT will create an enterprise capable of transporting yachts of any size to any destination around the globe and broaden the scope of services to any client, from private owner and charter company to brokers and shipyards. Yacht Path will contribute its worldwide expertise in lift on/lift off transportation: the chief mode of transport for small to medium yachts up to 80 ft, aboard ocean-going cargo and container vessels. DYT will bring expertise in "float on/float off" transportation for large yachts up to 200 ft on its four submersible yacht carrier vessels.
