Wednesday, October 26, 2016 to Webcast SOCP Coverage

May 27, 2003, an Internet TV channel on the network will provide live webcast coverage of the Ship Operations Cooperative Program (SOCP) meeting to be held June 3 in Pittsburgh, Pa. The webcast meeting will feature presentations and a discussion panel with an inland water focus. The webcast will conclude with a presentation from Captain Ernest Fink, USCG, who will provide an update on the Merchant Mariner Documentation (MMD) & the Mariner Licensing and Documentation (MLD) reorganization. “We’re very excited to again be offering the meeting proceedings on the web to allow members who could not attend the opportunity to tune in live for interactive participation,” commented SOCP organizer Todd Ripley of the U.S. Maritime Adminstration. “We appreciate the sponsorship participation from our membership to make this possible.” “The SOCP webcasts we’ve done on the Maritime TV Channel provide a whole new perspective to an SOCP meeting,” stated Dave Gardy, Chairman and CEO of “In the past years we saw how these webcasts worked to enhance communication among maritime industry professionals, part of the SOCP mission.
