Ramp-Up of NTV Oil Spill Resoures in Alaskan Waters

The Marine Spill Response Corporation (MSRC) and Alaska Maritime Prevention and Response Network (Network) have formed a "Strategic Alliance" to support Non-Tank Vessels (NTVs) in meeting new Federal regulations and enhance oil spill response in Western Alaska and Prince William Sound. The announcement was made at the recent Alaska Regional Response Team meeting in Anchorage. As a part of this Alliance, the Network will join the Marine Preservation Association (MPA), the funding organization for MSRC.

MSRC Enters Contract with Ocean Imaging

The Marine Spill Response Corporation (MSRC) announced an exclusive contract with Ocean Imaging Corporation for cutting edge remote sensing capability. Ocean Imaging will provide its proprietary aerial surveillance technology as part of MSRC’s overall strategy for enhancing the ability to tactically position response resources in the optimal areas of oil migration for responding to spills. The Marine Spill Response Corporation (MSRC) has entered an exclusive contract with Ocean Imaging Corporation for cutting edge remote sensing capability. GOM Deepwater Operator Joins MPA

Anadarko Petroleum Corporation has signed agreements with the Marine Preservation Association (MPA) and the Marine Spill Response Corporation (MSRC) to access MSRC’s national and Gulf of Mexico-based dedicated spill response resources for plan citation and spill response services. Anadarko joins other MPA founding members BP, Chevron, ConocoPhillips, ExxonMobil, Murphy, and Shell; and newer members Nexen, Noble, and Statoil, in funding the most extensive surface spill response capability in the Gulf of Mexico. MSRC has just completed a large expansion of its resources and capability in the Gulf of Mexico, with particular focus on the deepwater.

MSRC, Clean Bay Merge

The Marine Spill Response Corporation (MSRC) and Clean Bay Inc. announce the merger of the two organizations’ California-based assets effective January 1, 2004. The merged organization will operate as the California Region under the MSRC structure with their principal regional offices located in Concord, California. The merger combines the personnel and resources of both organizations into one locally operated organization, and provides access to MSRC’s considerable national resources in the event of a large incident.
