Milan Prosecutors Push for Fraud Trial Over Failed 2019 Eni Tanker Deal

Italian prosecutors have requested a former senior Eni employee, the now chief of a UK oil firm, and others be sent to trial for allegedly defrauding Eni over the attempted sale of an oil cargo to the company, a document from the Milan prosecutor's office shows.Sources previously told Reuters that the 2019 "White Moon" shipment of crude oil, purportedly from Iraq, created panic within Eni over fears it could be, at least partially, Iranian. Eni rejected the cargo, which it has said it bought from Nigerian firm Oando, who in turn bought the oil from the London branch of Italian fuel trading company Napag.Handling Iranian oil would have breached sanctions the United States reimposed in 2018 after quitting a nuclear deal between Iran and world powers.

New York’s First Offshore Wind Farm: Ørsted, Eversource Sanction 130MW South Fork Wind Project

Ørsted and Eversource have taken the final investment decision (FID) on the South Fork Wind project that will be New York’s first offshore wind farm. The FID comes after the South Fork Wind joint venture, owned 50/50 by Ørsted and Eversource, last month received final approval from the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) for its construction and operations plan, the final in the agency’s review of the project. ULSTEIN Sells 100th X-BOW Design

With the latest contract for two offshore wind service vessels for Bernhard Schulte/WINDEA Offshore, ULSTEIN has achieved 100 sales of the X-BOW hull line design. The milestone was achieved 10 years after the launch of the X-BOW design in 2005. Following the sales to Bourbon Offshore Norway of the second and third ship designs featuring X-BOW, Group CEO Gunvor Ulstein was asked by the media whether the hull design was now a success. "Come back when we've sold 100," Gunvor said in reply. "We can now see that X-BOW has been a huge success in the more recent history of ULSTEIN.

CP Ships Appoints Torrens VP

Iain Torrens has been appointed vice president, treasurer for CP Ships. He is based at the company's management headquarters in London and reports to CFO Ian Webber. In his new role Torrens will be responsible for group treasury and taxation activities. Graham Lambert continues with his treasury responsibilities reporting to Iain Torrens. Torrens was previously Deputy Group Treasurer for Cookson Group plc, the U.K. international materials technology company.
