August 5, 2004

The American Salvage Association (ASA), the national trade association for the professional marine salvage industry, and C-PORT, the national association for the marine assistance industry, have entered into a partnership to exchange associate membership between the two organizations. This will allow both marine response associations to exchange resources and information, encourage networking among members, discuss and review government policies related to the marine sector, and further professionalize both organizations. “ASA is proud to be partnering with C-PORT on associate membership,” said Richard Fairbanks, President, American Salvage Association. “Bringing our two associations together in this way will serve to strengthen both organizations, as well as the industry overall,” he continued. “C-PORT is very interested to enter into this exchange of associate membership with the American Salvage Association,” said Terry Hill, Chairman, C-PORT. “There is strength in numbers and this partnership is a perfect example of that,” he continued.
