ACT2 delivered a WRS-40 water reclamation system to Transocean for the Polar Pioneer. The unit will operate in Alaskan waters and produce bacteria and virus free reuse quality water for 220 persons on the rig.

Soon after delivery, Transocean ordered four additional units to be delivered in December 2014 and January 2015. Three of these units will handle 200 persons and the fourth will handle 30-40 persons.

ACT2 Technologies has the capability of producing drinkable quality water from its MSD’s if needed for potable reuse, zero discharge applications. Some vessels with ACT2 Piranha systems are reusing the water (after RO processing) for re-flushing heads, showers, laundry and technical water.
