Ocean Infinity Mobilizes Normand Frontier

Subsea technology and data company Ocean Infinity announced the launch of its third vessel, Normand Frontier. The vessel has now been mobilized, having been signed on a three-year year charter with the Norwegian ship owner Solstad Offshore, in December 2018.The Normand Frontier is a modern, fuel-efficient, multipurpose vessel capable of both supporting autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) and unmanned surface vehicle (USV) operations, as well as deepwater search and recovery services.

New Rescue Vessel Delivered to Sentinel Marine

Aberdeen-headquartered operators of offshore support vessels Sentinel Marine said it has taken delivery of the latest vessel to join its fleet. The Bailey Sentinel, constructed in China, is now en route to Aberdeen and is due to arrive in early September. The new emergency response and rescue vessel (ERRV) will operate rescue and recovery services for a major North Sea oil field operator following sea trials. The vessel is the eighth new build to join the expanding Sentinel Marine fleet since 2015. One further new vessel is set to be delivered in the first quarter of 2019.

OW Bunker Investors to Sue IPO banks

Institutional investors to sue Morgan Stanley, Carnegie. A group of institutional investors in OW Bunker said they plan to sue Morgan Stanley and Carnegie for about $80 million, accusing the two investment banks of misleading them ahead of the 2014 listing of the now bankrupt marine fuel oil supplier. Denmark's OW Bunker was valued at $1 billion when it floated in March 2014, but the company filed for bankruptcy in November that year after suffering hedging losses of almost $300 million, sending shockwaves through the global shipping and oil trading industry. "We are planning a lawsuit against the two investment banks involved in the OW Bunker IPO," Erik Bomans, partner in Deminor Recovery Services representing 30 institutional investors, told Reuters on Thursday.

Candito was previously an attorney with Haight Gardner Poor & Havens, specializing in maritime litigation and environmental law. He also served as a marine engineer aboard Exxon USA’s domestic tanker fleet from 1980 to 1985. Troms Offshore Receives PSV from STX Søviknes Shipyard

Troms Sirius is a 'Clean Design' diesel electric PSV (Platform Supply  Vessel) with a deck area of  1.020m2 and consequently one of the largest PSV ships operating in the North Sea. Engines and propulsion in combination with advanced catalyst technologies ensure low fuel consumption, efficient operations and reduced emissions to air. In addition, she carries the most advanced equipment for oil recovery services and fire fighting (FiFi II). MV Troms Sirius is a STX PSV 09 design similar to one of the other ships in the Company’s fleet, MV Troms Capella, while the other ships owned by Troms Offshore have a VS 485 CD design. The ship will fly the Norwegian NOR flag with a crew of 28 split on two shifts.

Sartor Offshore Rescue, $52M in New Business

Aberdeen-based Sartor Offshore Rescue Ltd has won work with a total value of $52m in the first two months of the year to provide emergency rescue and recovery services in the North Sea. Among several new contracts is one to supply Total E&P UK Ltd with the Ocean Ness for up to 10 years, securing at least 30 jobs. The field support vessel will depart Aberdeen at the end of March for its 130 nautical miles (240 km) to Total’s Elgin and Franklin fields in the Central North Sea.
