Resolve Salvage & Fire CG Approved for OPA90
Resolve Salvage & Fire (Americas), the emergency response division of international maritime emergency services contractor Resolve Marine Group, announced that the U.S. Coast Guard has approved Resolve to help oil tanker vessel owners comply with new OPA90 requirements by the February 22, 2011 deadline. The USCG has already begun issuing Interim Operating Authorizations (IOA) for tank vessels that cite Resolve in their OPA90 Vessel Response Plans.
Resolve, T&T Bisso Form FiFi Coalition
Resolve Marine Group and T&T Bisso have announced their coalition for Marine Firefighting services in U.S. waters. This agreement combines both companies’ extensive firefighting infrastructure to produce overlapping coverage and higher volume firefighting capacity throughout the U.S. This coalition was crafted specifically to help tank vessel operators fully comply with the new Oil Pollution Act of 1990 regulations that will be effective on February 22, 2011.

Resolve Rescues Two Tankers in Texas
Resolve Salvage & Fire (Americas), Inc., a subsidiary of Resolve Marine Group, responded to two OPA-90 client tankers offshore and in the Houston-Galveston Ship Channel in July. Resolve had responded to another tanker incident in January 2010, off Port Arthur, Texas. On July 14, 2010, Resolve successfully refloated a 22,377dwt chemical tanker, which had grounded in Galveston Bay, Texas as it lost steerage while leaving the port.
Garrido Named T&T Bisso President

T&T Marine Salvage Responds to Oil Spill
T&T Marine Salvage helped clean up an oil spill after a collision between an oil tanker and a barge spilled 450,000 gallons of crude oil into the Sabine-Neches Waterway. T&T Marine Salvage responded to the oil spill by mobilizing 50 personnel. 20,000 ft of spill boom, a 1,500-bbl skimming vessel, response vessels, portable skimmers, eight portable fire pumps and other equipment. “T&T Marine cleanup operations were performed around the clock,” said Vice President Kevin Teichman.
