Incat Crowther Designs CTVs for U.S. Offshore Wind Market
Incat Crowther has recently secured contracts to design three offshore Crew Transfer Vessels (CTVs) for the U.S. operator Windea CTV.Two of the CTVs will be built by St Johns Ship Building in Florida and one will be built by Gulf Craft in Louisiana.The vessels, which are 30m in length feature a large foredeck with a 23 t.m knuckle boom crane and container securing lugs. The vessels incorporate Incat Crowtherâs patented Resilient Bow Technology minimizing boat landing impact forces.

Mackinac Island Ferry Goes Adrift After Steering Loss

Ingalls Launches USCG National Security Cutter Calhoun
HII launched the Legend-class national security cutter Calhoun (WMSL 759) on Saturday at the companyâs Ingalls Shipbuilding division in Pascagoula, Miss.With the assistance of tugs, Calhoun came off the floating dry dock Saturday, after first being translated via Ingallsâ rail car system. The dock was moved away from the pier and then ballasted to float off the ship.Ingalls Shipbuilding is the sole designer and provider of the Coast Guard Legend-class national security cutter.

The Commander of the 13th Coast Guard District has received a request for a preliminary navigation clearance determination (PNCD) from the Interstate Bridge Replacement Program, aka Portland, Ore., to Vancouver, Wash., I-5 twin bridge (LLNR 11258).A PNCD is a first step in the U.S. Coast Guard Bridge permitting process. US Coast Guard Preparing to Order Long Range Cutters

Update: Valaris Drillship Collides with Bulk Carrier in Pascagoula, Mississippi
A Valaris drillship hit the Akti bulk carrier ship on Saturday, after breaking free its moorings near the VT Halter Shipyards and Chevron docks in Pascagoula, Mississippi. BIO-UV's BIO-SEA M-Series BWTS Gets USCG Type Approval
