Sinopacific’s Zhejiang Shipyard Starts SPP17 PSV Ship

On the morning of May 9, 2011, Sinopacific Shipbuilding Group’s Zhejiang Shipyard started work on the manufacture of the SPP17 PSV series of offshore support vessel for France’s Bourbon Company. This is the eighth ship to be manufactured on the company’s small ship line, and this ship is to be certified by American Bureau of Shipping (ABS).

The SPP17 PSV ship is another model autonomously designed by Sinopacific Shipbuilding Group, following after the SPA80 AHTS ship. The new ship has a total length of 61.80 meters, a width of 14.00 meters, and a depth of 5.8 meters, with a designed draught of 4.30 meters and a maximum draught of 4.90 meters. The waterline is 61.58 meters, the deadweight tonnage is 1,700 tons, and its service speed is 12 knots.
