Level421 GmbH developed mobile communication solutions in the past few years and introduced these into the market 2013 under the label traveltronic. The company today develops, produces and provides mobile communication solutions for vehicles and ships, and also offers airtime services.

The developments for this, especially for the ALL.in.ONE System, have been performed in Ulm, Germany. ALL.IN.ONE combines GSM mobile communication with satellite internet capacity solutions to one very compact ALL.in.ONE solution. Whenever the vehicles or ships got a connection to the GSM network, it uses the fast 3G UMTS or even faster 4G LTE networks. Just if there is no GSM network available the solution switches to satellite connection. This method reduces communication costs dramatically, the company said.

Regarding to the increasing market, level421 GmbH decided to transfer the traveltronic business to UAE. This covers the requirements more efficient built more proximity to customers. The production will move to UAE as well, because of the lower labor costs and the excellent strategic location of the UAE.

traveltronic will establish near the new central World airport Dubai World Central (DWC) which operates with charter and air cargo flights since October 2013 and will be the airport with the highest capacity in the world by 2020. Located next to DWC Dubai World Expo will take place in 2020.

The location near the airport is also important for traveltronic, because the company is working at a mobile communication system for aircrafts, which will be available in a three-year timeframe.

“It is logic for our company that we need to be present at the world’s biggest airport DWC”, said Markus Haut, General Manager at level421 GmbH.

Further, he stated, “Our future customers will arrive this airport with more than 1,000 aircrafts every day after 2020. Due to the central position Dubai World Central is a strategic location. Besides this, the UAE is one of the most important places for operating international business. Level421 GmbH will stay in Ulm/Germany with its Satellite communication business. Our teleport as well will stay operating from Ulm. traveltronic will operate a small service point in Ulm Germany, for all European customers.”
