The Duclos family is iconic in boatbuilding circles, as the Somerset, Mass.-based Gladding-Hearn, Duclos Corporation, has built a strong heritage in the pilot boat and fast ferry sectors, and in total more than 425 vessels have been delivered since it was founded in 1955. Sparton to Acquire Aydin Displays

Sparton Corporation subsidiary, Sparton Aydin, has entered into a definitive purchase agreement to acquire certain assets and liabilities of Aydin Displays, Inc., an $18 million revenue business, in an all-cash transaction. Freudenberg acquires Vector Technology Group

Freudenberg Oil & Gas expands its position and expertise in the upstream segment of the oil and gas market with innovator in offshore sealing solutions. Freudenberg Oil & Gas announced that on January 11, 2013, 100% of the shares of Vector Technology Group, a major global supplier of high integrity sealing solutions for the oil and gas industry, were acquired by parent company Freudenberg Group, headquartered in Weinheim, Germany. The shares were acquired from the private equity firm HitecVision headquartered in Stavanger, Norway.
