Bill Re: Siting of Offshore Windmills

Senator Alexander (R-TN) introduced the Environmentally Responsible Windpower Act of 2005 (S. 1034) to provide for “local control for the siting of windmills”. This bill, if enacted into law, would require, among other things, local approval prior to federal authorization for construction of an offshore wind farm. (HK Law).
